Skin has a similar nature of the earth, which is easily altered and modified organically by both internal and external factors. Just like the continuous changes occurring on the earth's surface due to natural phenomena and architectural practices, the skin is also reconstructed into a new surface through regeneration from cell division or wounds and medical treatment.
'Skin Topography' compares what is happening on ordinary skin to the actions that transform the surface of the earth by imitating the human skin in three-dimensions.
Song Hyeseul is majoring in architecture at university and doing artworks based on photography. As a co-founder of ‘Project Assignment’, she produced and distributed a free monthly paper and published independent publications. Song has also participated in «THE SCRAP» in 2018 and 2019.
피부는 내·외부적 요인들에 의해 유기적으로 변형되는 땅의 성질과 닮아 있다. 자연 현상이나 인간의 건축 행위로 인해 지면이 지속적으로 변화하는 것과 같이, 피부 또한 세포 분열로 인한 재생 혹은 외적인 상처와 치료를 통해 새로운 표면으로 재구성된다.
'Skin Topography'는 피부의 입체적인 모사를 통해 지극히 평범한 피부에서 일어나는 일들을 지표면이 변형되는 현상과 과정에 비유한다.
송혜슬은 대학에서 건축을 전공하며 사진 작업을 하고 있다. Project Assignment의 공동기획자로 무가지를 제작, 배포하였으며, 독립출판물을 만들기도 했다. 더 스크랩 2018, 2019에 참여하였다.
