An extraordinary 1.55 ct natural unheated bi-color sapphire from Sri Lanka, showcasing a rare combination of vibrant blue and yellow in a truly unique fancy cut. This exceptional gemstone is completely untreated, preserving its natural beauty and rarity.
Its journey began as a 3.80 ct rough crystal mined in the renowned Nivithigala gem fields of Sri Lanka. The rough was primarily a yellow sapphire with a distinctive blue color zone. During the planning stage, our expert gem cutters discovered that cutting it into a traditional oval, cushion, or other standard shape would remove the blue zoning, leaving only a yellow sapphire.
To preserve this rare natural color combination, our experienced cutting team made a unique decision. Instead of following a conventional design, they created a custom fancy cut, giving the gemstone a bold and distinctive appearance that resembles the iconic Transformers logo. This artistic approach preserved the natural bi-color effect while creating a truly one-of-a-kind gemstone.
The rough was carefully preformed to 2.07 ct before being precision faceted into this stunning 1.55 ct finished gemstone, maximizing both its beauty and rarity.
