What is kawaii ? 🙄💕
“Kawaii” is a large proportion of modern Japanese 🇯🇵 culture which stands mostly for the meanings of “cute” and “lovable” … these tiny kawaii items are also aesthetically pleasing, designed based on pastel colors, simple graphics with childlike characters designed to elicit a sense of nostalgia 🌈
Kawaii stationary was first introduced by the company Sanrio in 1974 associating the now world famous kawaii character Hello Kitty🐱
Since its beginning kawaii has been a rebellion against the seriousness of adulthood and its pressures. Kawaii is also a great way of making some good childhood memories to be nostalgic about when you are a grown up and to also surprise your loved ones with a bunch of these cuties 💖🧸🎀🛍🎁
