Super proud moments when friends go places . From 'The Routes we take exhibition' 2024 where both Kuweni & Lala Studio exhibited to the Pulse of Play..

We were elated to be invited by the Astralian High Commissioner Mr Matthew Duckworth to a private screening of Pulse of Play by the beautiful soul Kuwemi at the Australian House the other day.

The screening was a glimps into the multidisciplinary installation examining the relationship between body, ritual, and the rhythms of land through Sri Lankan women’s knowledge systems.

Lala Studio is excited to be featured in the 'Makers' Spaces and Other Places' edition of open house which invites visitors to step into a range of architectural firms, artists' studios, and home-based practices rarely open to the public.

Hosted by the the festival offers three exciting weekends of behind-the-scenes tours and special activities at over 30 locations around the city.

7-8 | 14-15 | 28-29 March 2026

Festival participants will gain insight nto artistic and design processes, from archival practices to contemporary architecture and local craftsmanship

Open House Colombo 2025 was rescheduled from its original date in early December out of respect tor those wha were and continue to be impacted by the devastating effects of Cyclone Ditwah
