If you are looking for healthy and clean fish and veggies, produced in Luxembourg, well than welcome to acquaponie.lu! We bring together aquaculture (raising fish) and hydroponics (the soil-less growing of plants)
and grow good fish and veggies together in one integrated ecological system. These provide a natural filter for the water the fish live in. The third participants are the microbes (nitr

ifying bacteria). They are converting the ammonia from the fish waste first into nitrites, then into nitrates and the solids into compost – which is natural food for our veggies. We are Sandrine and Bert-Jan Van der Kley - Pingeon. You might already have heard of Sandrine’s successful company « les paniers de Sandrine » in Münsbach. Her knowledge of growing excellent vegetables and my passion for fish do perfectly match together. Together, with the help of our two wonderful daughters Zoé and Julie, we take another important step in our life and created Aquaponie.lu, the first aquaponic farm in Luxembourg.
