Surfshark is a rapidly growing cybersecurity company developing human-centered privacy and security solutions that help protect people’s digital lives around the world. Founded in 2018 as a VPN service provider, the company is now Lithuania’s second tech unicorn, with more than 400 employees across Vilnius, Kaunas, Warsaw, and Berlin.

Surfshark’s story of rapid growth and innovation is brought to life visually at its reception through a company history wall, which we illuminated using iGuzzini NEWFO luminaires. The minimalist design of NEWFO blends seamlessly into the architecture, while the luminaire’s precise Opti Beam optics provide accurate light control, highlighting the most important details. ✨

👉 Smart lighting control allows us to create a variety of lighting scenes tailored to the space. We also provide on-site support and can program the desired lighting scenarios ourselves.

✨ The newly renovated Kaunas Town Hall (Lithuania) and the surrounding square are one of those places where architecture reveals a completely different character after dark.
For this project, we designed lighting with the aim of highlighting the building’s architecture, enhancing the public spaces of the square, and creating a warm and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere in the evening.
The details matter: high-quality luminaires, contemporary lighting solutions, and carefully considered use of light. The goal was not simply to illuminate space, but to subtly reveal its character and bring the architecture to life after sunset.

🏆 The finalists of the 2026 Latvian Architecture Awards have been announced!
Among them are projects that are especially meaningful to us at Gaismas Stils, as we had the opportunity to contribute to their realization through lighting design. 💡
• “2025 / Birkertam 100” — a project created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Gunārs Birkerts, the renowned Latvian-American architect (Latvijas Nacionālā bibliotēka / National Library of Latvia).
Project authors: Jānis Dripe, Andris Kronbergs, Tatjana Raičiņeca, Anete Krūmiņa, Brigita Zelča-Aispure (LNB).
• Satekles Biznesa Centrs — another outstanding finalist project.
Project authors: joint venture “SN&L”: SARMA NORDE ARCHITECTS and Lauder Architects.

🤗 We are especially proud to be part of the teams behind these projects and delighted to see them among the finalists of the 2026 Latvian Architecture Awards.
The winners will be announced at the official awards ceremony on October 17 at the Riga Congress Centre.

Sometimes a painting becomes more than a portrait — it becomes a memory😎
Maija Nora Tabaka’s Regīna has a story of its own. The original was stolen in Sweden, and almost three decades later, the artist painted it once again. 1984 / 2011 — two moments in time, one Regīna, and a quiet story about memory, loss, and the things time can never return.
At the Gaismas Stils office, the painting is illuminated by the Modular Lighting Instruments Marbul fixture — carefully directed light that brings out the subtle nuances, textures and colours of the artwork, allowing its character to unfold in every detail.

We designed the lighting for Dr. Vilkoites Vēdera klīnika - a modern healthcare facility offering advanced diagnostics and comprehensive patient care 🔬💉
One of the project’s distinctive elements is a custom-designed track lighting system with integrated luminaires, created specifically for this project. The system was designed to respond to the specific spatial requirements and architectural character of the clinic.
Rather than choosing a standard, off-the-shelf solution, the system was carefully tailored to the project’s architectural concept, functional requirements, and visual identity. The distinctive red color of the track system was intentionally selected to complement the interior design and reinforce the clinic’s overall identity.
The project was realized in collaboration with Open Architecture Design. It reflects the importance of integrating architecture and lighting to create a cohesive spatial experience, where every detail serves both an aesthetic and a functional purpose.

It's great to see how high-quality lighting is becoming an integral part of urban public spaces, creating an even better experience for every visitor.
Jeruzalė Pond Park (Vilnius) is a new recreational destination surrounded by nature, just minutes from the city centre. Here, the natural landscape blends seamlessly with modern infrastructure, featuring 3.5 km of illuminated walking paths, a waterside viewing terrace, educational spaces, and accessible solutions for people with disabilities and families with strollers.
We are proud to have been responsible for the lighting design of this project, delivering solutions that help keep the park welcoming, safe, and inviting to visit both during the day and after dark. 💡
The project features lighting fixtures by Neri Spa and L&L Luce&Light.

As lighting designers, we value products that demonstrate how light can become an integral part of architecture and spatial experience through its functional purpose. The PASSAGE luminaire from Modular Lighting Instruments, winner of the 2026 MIAW Design Award, is a great example of how a luminaire can create continuity and connection between materials, space and people. ✨ Vilnius Town Hall is shining in a new light.

The interior renovation of Vilnius Town Hall is nearing completion. Several restored spaces are already open to visitors and are once again hosting events, exhibitions, and other cultural gatherings.

We are especially proud to have contributed to the revitalization of this historic landmark by designing and delivering modern lighting solutions that enhance its architectural character while respecting its heritage.
