You know the old joke about how do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice. The same is absolutely true as an artist!! Sure, some people are born with more talent than others, but the talk difference is how much practice you put into it. (And if you want to be really good, don't just practice over and over one style or one subject or one technique. Study many different things and let that knowledge inform your broader practice.)

BUY ART FROM ARTISTS!!! Especially if you have a budget specifically for art, please make some family memories, go to a local art fair, pick out something that speaks to you, have a connection with the artist instead of just buying something that fits the measurements of the space from a big box store!!

This matters so much - it makes a huge difference to the artist you support, it will impress everyone who visits your home far more than a piece of store bought junk would, it might appreciate in value, it brings more warmth and meaning into your home and really solidifies those memories!

This was my first time using the automatic needle threader on the Bernina B770 QE PRO!! I was not familiar with it, and when I looked for a video walkthrough, there were none! (Only for the 770 QE Plus, which uses the traditional hook and lever).

So I made my own tutorial for any other lost sheep like myself :)
