ပေါင်းတည်ဝန်းကျင်ဒေသကထွက်ရှိတဲ့ ကြာချည်နဲ့ မယ်လက်မလက်ရက်ကန်းရုံက ဘာကိုရက်ရက်ဇာလေးပါအောင်ရက်တို့ တွေ့ဆုံကြလေပြီ။
ထုတ်ကုန်တွေထုတ်လုပ်တဲ့အခါမှာ ဒေသထွက် ကုန်ကြမ်းကိုသုံးနိုင်လေ ကုန်ကျစရိတ်နည်းလေဖြစ်လို့ ဒေသတိုင်းမှာ သက်ဆိုင်ရာဖန်တီးမှုတိုင်းအတွက် ကုန်ကြမ်းတွေရှိဖို့အရေးကြီးပါတယ်။

သဘာဝကပေးတဲ့ကြာတွေနဲ့ ကြာချည်ထုတ်ခဲ့ကြတာ ဆယ်စုနှစ်များစွာရှိခဲ့ကြပြီလို့ အသက်၇၀ကျော်အမျိုးသမီးကြီးက “တို့အသက်၂၀ကျော်ကတည်းက ကြာချည်ဆွဲခဲ့တာ”လို့ဆိုပေမယ့် မသိသူကျော်သွားဖြစ်ခဲ့ကြတယ်။

Lotus yarn from the Paungde region has now come together with the weaving skills of the Mae Latma handloom workshop, creating a beautiful scarves with delicate lace-like details.

When producing goods, having access to locally sourced raw materials is important, as using materials available within the region can help reduce production costs. Every region benefits from having its own natural resources to support local creativity and craftsmanship.

For decades, lotus stems provided by nature have been used to produce lotus fiber to yarn. A woman in her seventies recalls, “I have been extracting lotus fiber since I was in my twenties.” Yet, despite this long-standing tradition, it has often gone unnoticed by many.

Now, as something new and unique, we would like to introduce a beautiful cotton-and-lotus-yarn scarf, woven with cotton yarn as the warp and lotus yarn as the weft, featuring delicate lace details.

Both cotton and lotus fiber are natural fibers, making this scarf soft, gentle, and beautifully comfortable against the skin.

Silk shawls are one of Sunflower's signature products. We create them using fine silk, raw silk (hand-spun silk), or a combination of both. We also explore different weaving techniques and patterns to create unique designs.

Our latest collection is made from 100% silk using Lace & Plain weaving design. Some shawls are woven with fine silk only, while others combine fine silk with hand-spun silk. The fine silk gives the shawl a soft and smooth feel, while the hand-spun silk adds a natural texture and unique character. This pattern makes the shawl light, breathable, and elegant, while highlighting the natural shine of silk.

The colours of these shawls come from natural dyes. They are not overly bright, but they have a calm and gentle beauty that becomes richer over time.

A silk shawl cannot be made quickly. It takes time, skill, and patience. That is why every shawl carries warmth, careful craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
