We met just 3 guys with our telescopes to see the Jupiter + Venus conjunction and Mercury too 🙂 and we also met some interesting people who participated in some quick galaxy gazing and they were mesmerized.

Don’t miss the Venus–Jupiter conjunction on the 9th, though they are already showing close by. A stunning pair in the western sky just after sunset, and they are easy to spot and beautiful to watch. (Don’t forget your telescope) 🌟🟡 ✨🟤

While you’re out watching the Venus + Jupiter, keep an eye out for the Arietids shooting stars too. They peak early tomorrow morning, but you might still catch a few stray meteors in the early evening sky.

Telescope Size Comparison 🔭✨

I’ve lined up four Dobsonian telescopes, some of the largest practical sizes for amateur astronomers, and also the best beginner‑friendly scopes. With Dobsonians, the rule is simple: the larger, the better the view (unless your lower back disagrees. Larger also means heavier).

All four are currently on display at my newly refurbished store in Luqa.

🌕✨ 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲! ✨🌕
This weekend, we’ll be treated to a beautiful Blue Moon, a rare event when we get a second full moon in the same month. It doesn’t actually turn blue, but its name comes from how uncommon it is… happening only “once in a blue moon”! 💫

It’s the perfect chance to enjoy a brighter, smaller‑than‑usual full moon rising over Malta’s skies.

So enjoy the view from home, and even better if you have your own telescope 🔭🌙. The Moon will look bright, detailed, and absolutely stunning through the eyepiece.

It’s called a light weight giant because it weighs less than a normal 12 inch and it’s mostly made of pipes…. Granted I pulled my back carrying it 😑
