🏋🏻♀️ BUSY MUM OF 2.. BUT I STILL MAKE TIME FOR ME 💪🏼
My workouts aren’t long or complicated. Most of them happen early in the morning, before the kids wake up… because once they wake up, we all know how that goes! 😂🤍
I like to alternate:
🏃🏻♀️ One day cardio — usually a jog, 30–35 minutes max
🏋🏻♀️ One day strength — around 20–23 minutes max
My strength workouts are simple - basic dumbbell exercises like squats, lunges, deadlifts, shoulder presses.
I also focus on progressive overload 💪🏼 gradually increasing the weight, reps or difficulty as I get stronger. You don’t need a completely new workout every week. Master the basics and keep challenging yourself.
When your goal is weight loss, nutrition creates the calorie deficit, but exercise is an amazing tool alongside it. Cardio helps increase energy expenditure and improve fitness, while strength training helps maintain and build muscle as you lose fat.
And no, you don’t need a 60 minute workout for it to “count” 🙌🏼
I have two young children, work, a home, responsibilities and days when I’m tired too. I could easily tell myself “I don’t have time.” Some mornings I’m motivated, some mornings I’m tired and would much rather stay in bed 😅 but I always remind myself that I never regret the workout once it’s done.
So Instead, I find 20–35 minutes.
You don’t need to wait for the perfect time, the perfect routine or for life to become less busy. Start where you are, with the time you have. Even 20 minutes is something🤍
Eat well. Move your body. Get stronger. Stay consistent.
Small habits, repeated often, create the biggest changes ✨ 💪🏼🤍
