Join us at il-lokal for an evening with author Ryan Falzon and curator François Zammit, celebrating the English translation of Sajf, now published as You Know the Sun Bothers Me.

Originally written and published in Maltese, Sajf offers a distinctive voice of its generation, a story shaped by Malta, summer, restless energy and the promise of adventure.

The evening will include:

🟡 Readings from the novel in Maltese and English
🟡 Ryan Falzon in conversation with François Zammit
🟡 A discussion about the journey of the book from Maltese into English
🟡 Audience Q&A
🟡 Book signing with Ryan
🟡 Refreshments

Did you know? Polymer clay doesn’t dry in the air like traditional clay, it cures in the oven!
That’s what makes it such a fun material to work with.

Before it’s baked, it can be mixed like paint, rolled into intricate patterns, textured, sculpted and reshaped until everything feels just right.

But the baking is only halfway there. Each piece is then sanded, drilled, assembled and finished by hand before it’s ready to wear.

And here’s our favourite part: because every pattern is handmade, no two Terra pieces are ever exactly alike. Those tiny differences are what make each one unique. 🤍

Self-taught graphic designer who believes in doing things just right, not fast. And sometimes, “just right” means doing things in a non-linear way, following your own path, and acknowledging that there is not one cut and paste method that will work for every designer.

For Clint this eventually led to starting his own lifestyle brand, a spark inspired by classic car culture and the slow Mediterranean way of life - .
