Every so often, a piece comes along that makes you wonder why they ever stopped making things this interesting.
This unusual vintage German piece takes the form of an elegant miniature grandfather clock, finished in deep black with warm brass detailing and an ornate Roman numeral clock face.
But thereโs much more hiding behind its stately appearance.
The lower front panel opens to reveal a concealed cigarette holder compartment, while the piece also incorporates a mechanical music box.
The music box is working perfectly and adds another wonderfully nostalgic element to an already fascinating object.
The mechanical clock and alarm mechanism currently require repair and are being sold as such.
