1. Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) = 207,596 Votes.
2. Dr. Kondwan Nankhumwa of People's Development Party (DPP) = 6,777
3. Dr. Lazarus MacCathy Chakwera of Malawi Congress Party (MCP) = 3,195 Votes.
4. Atupele Austin Muluzi of United Democratic Front (UDF) = 2,923 Votes.
5. Dr. Dalitso Kabambe of United Transformation Movement (UTM) = 2,579.
6. Dr. Joyce Hilda Banda of People's Party (PP) = 692 Votes.
