We’re all here in Historic Filipinotown for Every Sunday Funday Market! Canadian bacon sandwiches are hot on the griddle, Hawaiian shave ice is set and ready, and inside the shop we’ve got guided journals in all new colors, silver jewelry, Japanese retro radios and cassette tapes, and live charcoal portraits.

The shelves are stocked with used and new books, the bargain tables are out on the sidewalk, and the cooler’s packed with refreshments!

Hello Thursday! Story Sale will return next week with another set of books and notes by our very own Sarah Bofenkamp.

Here in the shop we’re doing double duty today, getting books onto the store shelves prepping for Saturday School and Every Sunday Funday Market and also sorting and categorizing the pop up for LITLIT, the Los Angeles Review of Book’s Book Fair at SCI-Arc in the Arts District downtown. There’s a preview tomorrow night so come out, we’ll have two tables of fresh paperbacks ready for their next homes!

And we’re back in the bookshop for another week of bookselling here in Historic Filipinotown!

We’re working through some large collections and making our way through the sea of banker’s boxes in the back. We’re releasing them into the wild as we go, so definitely come by the shop to see the latest and greatest.

We have a full schedule coming up at A Good Used Book for this first weekend in June too!

Saturday School kicks things off on June 6th with Bánh Mì Thảo’s super delicious vegan Vietnamese sandwiches, complete with fresh mushrooms and/or tofu scramble along with Wet Paint’s unique matcha creations.
