It’s that time of year and while we don’t believe in rainbow washing we feel it is necessary to celebrate Queerness (365 days a year not just in June) some of our favorite authors, characters, and employees are part of the community and we are passionate about engaging in conversations about q***rness as well as having a inclusive collection that shines the spotlight on q***r authors and topics that challenge us to swim against the current and challenge the heteronormativity that has dominated literature and life for so long

Es Junio y aunque no creemos en el uso de la identidad q***r como herramienta de capitalismo, creemos que es necesario celebrar Queerness (365 días al año, no solo en junio), algunos de nuestros autores, personajes y empleados favoritos son parte de la comunidad y nos apasiona participar en conversaciones sobre la q***rness, así como por tener una colección inclusiva que pone de primera fila a los autores q***r y temas que nos desafían a nadar contra la corriente y desafiar la heteronormatividad que ha dominado la literatura y la vida durante tanto tiempo.

Today we went on a magical adventure to Tulum to vist because I knew I needed one (ok two) of their amazing handmade notebooks, for me it was love at first sight. I was so excited to see where the magic happens and honestly what I saw exceeded my expectations. Their crew is so sweet and made us feel right at home in their cozy little yurt. I am beyond excited to welcome them to our collection of incredible local artists at . Come and see all the unique designs and grab one (or two…no judgement).

Hoy fuimos de aventura a Tulum para conocer el taller de porque sabía que necesitaba uno (vale, dos) de sus increíbles cuadernos hechos a mano, para mí fue amor a primera vista. Estaba tan emocionada de ver dónde sucede la magia y, sinceramente, lo que vi superó mis expectativas. Su equipo es tan lindo y nos hizo sentir en casa en su espacio encantadora en una bella yurta. Estoy súper emocionada de darles la bienvenida a nuestra colección de increíbles artistas locales en . Ven a ver todos los diseños únicos y coge uno (o dos... no juzgamos).

Alma Libre is thrilled to offer an evening of learning and creating with a couple of our fantastic local artists, Francisco Mendez and Monica Valdes. You will get to see how they craft Alebrije’s and Sugar Skulls from a myriad of recycled materials, and learn about these traditional mexican art forms. Next, you will get to choose one of the forms to paint and decorate with support and instruction from these two masters. Space is limited so be sure to reserve your spot asap.
