I melt my own silver and I hand craft every, single piece of my jewelry using time-honored Mexican jewelry making techniques. Mexico has a long practice of Silversmithing that dates to the Aztec Empire. I was taught that every piece of jewelry should be worked by hand. I do not cut corners and I do not use pre-formed materials. I was trained in the old tradition and I am honored to keep the Mexican jewerly tradition alive. One beautiful day, while listening to my very favorite Healer's live card reading, I was seen by her. The message she channeled helped me understand that my love for plant medicine and my love for designing jewelry were connected. After some deep introspection, I received a message from my guide telling me to infuse plants into precious metal. Her message spoke deeply to me and this is how Plant Spirit Design ™ was born. My research and insight taught me how to add herbs to the melting process in layers as the precious metal melts. During the melting process, the herbs turn into ash. The ash is then gently blended into the precious metal. Through much trial and error, I was able to determine how much ash could be infused without impacting the purity of the precious metal.
