Big news—Aurora Books is expanding! We’re turning our new space into a cozy haven where you can relax, read, work, or catch up with friends.
To make it feel like home, we’re looking for a few pre-loved items to bring the room to life. If you have any of the following that you’d be willing to donate, we’d love to give them a second home:
*A comfy armchair
*Warm lighting or floor lamps
*A cozy rug
If you have something sitting around that needs a good home, please reach out! Thank you for helping us grow our community space.

Aurora Books, the beloved bookstore managed by the San Miguel Literary Sala, is growing—and we couldn’t be more excited!

We’ll be closing for a few weeks while we renovate and expand. When we reopen, Aurora Books will have twice the space and an even bigger selection of books for our community.

Here’s what you can look forward to:
✨ More new bestsellers and classic books in English
✨ A larger selection of children’s books
✨ More books about and of local interest
✨ More resources for those learning Spanish
✨ And, of course, books by the keynote speakers at the San Miguel Writers’ Conference & Literary Festival

Our expanded space will also provide room for book clubs, book launches, and other literary events.

As Aurora Books grows, so will our need for community support. We’ll be looking for more volunteers to help staff the store and assist with programming. If you’d like to get involved, stay tuned for more information!

We’re thrilled about this next chapter for Aurora Books and can’t wait to welcome you into our new and improved space.

Stay tuned for the announcement of our reopening! 📖✨
