It is very precious as it is produced in very limited quantity due to its unique "journey" through a finicky coffee bean eating animal, known as the Luwak, or the Asian Palm Civet (Paradoxurus Hermaphrodites). Native to South East Asia, the Luwak is known for its ability to pick and eat the ripest and juiciest coffee cherries that produce the best quality coffee beans. These coffee beans will go through the Luwak's digestive system that produces proteolytic enzymes which alter the final taste of the coffee beans. Exotica Kopi Luwak is made from the coffee beans defecated by the Luwak, which are then cleaned, dried and micro-roasted in small quantity to perfection by the skilled coffee roaster. These beans yield a superbly aromatic coffee, with less bitterness, much smoother and rich taste unrivalled by any other coffee. This makes Exotica Kopi Luwak passionately sought after by the connoisseurs around the world.
