"[The Making of Life Series]

Behind every piece in the Life Series lies a quiet conversation between the designer and her materials—a dialogue between delicacy and strength, structure and softness, precision and spontaneity.

To bring twelve reflections on life into tangible form, EarthSea Jewelleries draws upon its signature craftsmanship while venturing into new artistic territories. Each piece is patiently constructed by hand, layer by layer, thread by thread, allowing different materials to speak in their own distinct language.

At the heart of the collection is EarthSea’s signature intricate bead embroidery. Every tiny bead is individually hand-sewn, using premium Japanese glass beads measuring merely 1.5–1.8mm. Thousands of these minute fragments come together to form intricate surfaces, subtle contours and expressive patterns. What appears delicate from afar reveals, upon closer inspection, an extraordinary accumulation of patience, precision and human touch.

Then comes brass thread embroidery—a quieter kind of opulence.

Using brass threads as fine as 0.1mm, the designer carefully builds delicate lines and textures across the jewelry. Rather than the conspicuous brilliance of conventional gold, the brass creates a restrained golden glow: warm, muted and quietly sophisticated. It is a form of low-profile luxury, where beauty does not announce itself, but reveals itself slowly to those who look closer.

With brass wire work, metal takes on an entirely different character.

Instead of remaining a flat decorative element, brass wire is bent, shaped and sculpted into unexpected structures, giving the jewelry an almost miniature sculptural quality. Curves emerge, forms unfold, and lines appear to move through space. The rigidity of metal becomes a means of expression—reminding us that strength, too, can be shaped.

And for the first time, wood carving enters the language of EarthSea’s jewelry.

Warm beneath the hand and organic in its character, wood introduces something wonderfully human into the collection. Its natural grain, subtle irregularities and gentle warmth soften the presence of metal and glass, creating a beautiful contrast between the refined and the elemental. It brings to the pieces a sense of quietness—as though a fragment of nature has been preserved within a jewel.

"[Life Series #2: Turning Back]

Turning Back is both a necklace and a body chain—a quiet meditation on time, memory, and the courage to move forward.

At the back rest three delicately carved wooden forms, shaped like watchful eyes. They look back—toward all that has been, all that we once held, and all that can no longer be changed.
Yet they are placed behind us for a reason.

Life offers no turning back. The past may be remembered, cherished, and learned from, but it is not where we are meant to remain. Turning Back is a gentle reminder to release what has passed, anchor ourselves in the present, and keep our eyes upon the road ahead.

Because sometimes, looking back is not about returning.

It is about knowing how far we have come—and then choosing, with quiet courage, to face the future.

"[Life Series #1: Rebirth]

Rebirth isn’t just for the phoenix.
It’s one of the most important turning points in every person’s life.

There’s a story about two religious leaders discussing eternal life.

One said, “Unless a person is reborn, they cannot enter eternity.”

The other asked, “How can someone be reborn? Do they go back into their mother’s womb and be born again?”

The first replied, “You know what I mean. Rebirth means acknowledging your sins, realizing your need for divine grace, and choosing to leave the past behind and start anew.”

All of us carry things we can’t change—mistakes, scars, regrets, unspoken apologies, misunderstood hurts, and relationships we couldn't fix.
Dragging these things through life is exhausting and painful. Yet somehow, we often refuse to admit them or let them go.

So we cling.
We get stuck.
We spiral.
We become hard to understand—even to ourselves.

But do we really want our past to cast a shadow over our future?

No matter who made the mistake—you or someone else—your future belongs to you.
And only you can take responsibility for it.

So the choice is yours:
Live in the past—or be reborn and step into a new beginning.

The first step of rebirth is acknowledgment.
Only when we admit the problem can we begin to solve it.
Only when we recognize our need for help or redemption can we start to heal.
This means laying down our pride and opening ourselves to change.
And then, step by step, we walk out of the darkness with a renewed self and a new mindset to face what’s ahead.

"[The Beginning: From Where The Idea of Life Series Came From]

The idea of the Life Series came to the designer's mind when she tried to express her thoughts towards life on social media. Sha wanted to create something that could carry her thoughts, her stories, and lessons learnt.

Having walked through a dark time in her life, alone, she finally discovers that everything in life happens for a reason. And this discovery planted a seed of hope in her heart.

Now the seed has emerged, as pieces of wearable artworks – handmade jewelleries that records her thoughts, memories and experiences. Now, it’s the time to pass them into your hands. You, as co-writer of this story of life, will carry the designer’s best wishes for you, and write your own stories from this point.

"[Introduction to Life Series: Different Facets of Life]

Life is never made of a single color.

It is happiness woven with sadness, courage shadowed by fear, fulfillment accompanied by longing. There are moments when we rise bravely to meet the world, and moments when we falter, retreat, or wish we had chosen differently.

We learn to cherish the moments that make our hearts light. We learn to grow through disappointment, to make peace with our regrets, and to embrace the imperfect chapters we once wished we could rewrite. We learn that achievements deserve to be celebrated, but so do the small, unseen victories: finding courage after fear, beginning again after failure, and becoming a little wiser than we were yesterday.

Life Series is our designer’s attempt to capture these elusive truths.

Across twelve pieces, twelve of the deepest reflections on life are crystallized into jewelry—each piece becoming a small artistic expression of a thought, a feeling, or a revelation. Rather than simply adorning the body, these pieces invite contemplation: to pause, to remember, and perhaps to recognize a fragment of our own story within them."

Yes, an update of our New Year Resolutions (if you still remember that we posted in the beginning of the year...😁)

So here's the list:
1. Take my AI skills to the next level, seriously and systematically.
- Progress level: 60%
- Had built a scalable system for the administration of our business with AI automation and keep refining it everyday.

2. Appear in at least one fashion show or fashion magazine.
- Progress level: 100%
- As all of you know, we had conducted our fashion show in Gurney Paragon in March showcasing the Blossom Wonderland collection. And finally, on 29th August, we debuted our latest collection -- Life Series-- in Couture Fashion Week Malaysia!!! Yay!

3. Officially launch the EarthSea Jewelleries website.
- Progress level: 100%

4. Learn wood carving and engraving.

- After many many trials, finally got the skill to carve woods for our jewelry! You'll see them soon in our introduction to Life Series.
