What is a Rub-on? The name literally suggests rubbing it on and it works on literally anything. They are like flat clear stickers and don’t add bulk. Super useful for mixed media enthusiasts cuz you can add like random designs over swatches of paints or any mediums! I like using it on photos but now I discovered they elevate your die cut pieces too. So imagine if we start using them on journals! Time to dig out those stash!

I love how easy it is to add layers to mini albums with leftover scrapbook papers. Sometimes as I come across brochures I will add those in as well. 49&Market papers are easily at least 200gsm making these pages sturdy and not easily damaged by constant flipping.

Lately I have been birding - it’s something we take for granted everyday but now that you really look, birds comes in all shapes, colors, sizes! They are so pretty. So I thought I will document my “Pokédex” in an old fashioned journal with my scrapbook scraps. I can’t draw and paint though 😂 so this was drawn by my daughter and I made a poor attempt of coloring it. Let’s see if I can do this consistently for all my > 120 species thus far 😆

It’s nice to see that the stationery market especially for individual designers is far from dead in Malaysia. This is actually the first time I have been to Some Market organized by CzipLee - to keep the community alive. Kudos for the effort! 🙇🏻‍♀️ I did enjoy myself and met quite a few of my customers too :) oh and I don’t know why I continue to hoard as well 🤷🏻‍♀️. I must now push myself to journal more and use my supplies!!! My room is overflowing!

I guess searching for wildlife went a tad too far 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I count my lucky stars for being there at exactly the moment when the snake slithered into the boxes. Otherwise I will be rummaging through the boxes non the wiser. This is a monocled cobra, it was a deadly fella!
