Craft does not exist in isolation.
It is bound to the hands that shape it, the longhouses that nurture it, and the generations who pass it down. When an Iban master weaver works with industrial PVC straps, she isn't just weaving a 26.3cm cube. She is weaving her family’s continuity, her financial autonomy, and the living memory of Sarawak into piece.

Burak, also known as white.
The familiar form of a 26.3cm cubic, reimagined through the longhouse soul. Created in collaboration with the Iban master weavers of Biro Wanita Merunjau, Burak translates raw industrial utility into modern sculptural art. Every piece carries a deeper purpose, 100% of proceeds return directly to the artisans through our Rural Community Craft Development Project (RCCDP), driving sustainable financial independence for rural Indigenous women.
