We are trying to stop suffering before it starts.

Right now, 20 dogs need to be spayed. Some are on the streets, some are already in our overcrowded shelter.

If we don’t act now, these 20 can turn into dozens of puppies in just months — most of them will suffer, get sick, or die on the streets.

We see it every day. We are trying to prevent it.

In the month of February, 16 dogs were successfully spayed. 🐾

This may seem like a small number, but every single spay prevents countless unwanted litters and suffering on the streets. It’s a step toward a more humane and sustainable future for our stray community.

A hungry dog searches through empty bowls, hoping for a scrap of food that can satisfy its growling stomach. The dog’s face reflects both exhaustion and determination, as it continues its search for nourishment. Its body, thin from lack of food, shows the toll that living on the streets has taken. But still, it doesn’t give up. It remains hopeful that someone, somewhere, will provide a meal.

This image serves as a stark reminder of the daily struggles that stray animals endure. They search for food wherever they can find it, but often, their efforts yield little or nothing. Hunger is a constant companion, making their lives even harder. Yet, through it all, they maintain a level of hope that one day they will be fed and cared for. This hope is what drives them to continue, even when the odds seem insurmountable.

As we reflect on this dog’s plight, it’s a call for us to recognize the needs of those around us, especially the animals who cannot speak for themselves. The smallest gestures of kindness, like offering food or support, can help ease their struggles and give them a chance to thrive. Let’s not forget that every dog deserves to be cared for, loved, and fed. 🍖🐕

Karma means every action brings consequences.
When someone intentionally harms or kills innocent animals, they create negative karma. That harm — the suffering, pain, and cruelty — does not disappear. It returns in some form, whether through personal suffering, loss, guilt, or consequences later in life.

In simple words:

What you give to the world, the world gives back to you.

Poisoning a helpless dog is an act of cruelty. In karmic belief, causing suffering plants seeds of suffering. Even if no one sees it now, karma is believed to balance all actions eventually.

It is not about revenge.
It is about moral cause and effect.

With the generous support of The Datai Langkawi Pledge, we have successfully spayed 21 dogs for month of January 2026.
This prevents an estimated 126 puppies from being born on the streets.

Spaying is the only humane and proven long-term solution to reduce the stray population. It takes time, but it works.

Catching truly stray or feral dogs is extremely challenging. We do not have the manpower, equipment, or trained catchers to safely capture aggressive or fearful street dogs. The dogs we are able to spay are those that have been fed and slowly gained trust over the years — that is why they can be handled.

When we say we cannot catch certain stray dogs, it is not an excuse — it is the reality of limited resources.

We understand the frustration. But real change requires community effort. Complaints alone will not reduce numbers. Cooperation, volunteers, funding, and responsible feeding with commitment to sterilisation — that is what makes impact.

We remain committed to doing what we can, with the resources we have.

We currently have 20 stray puppies who urgently need vaccination to protect them from deadly diseases like Parvo and Distemper.
Without vaccines, their chances of survival are very low.

Each puppy deserves a fair start in life — healthy, protected, and given a chance.
We’re raising funds to cover their vaccination costs, and any amount helps.
