A short stage, yet an incredibly demanding one.

Today in Andorra, the Vuelta delivered a brutally tough day, with four classified climbs packed into little more than 100 kilometers. As the riders reached the foot of the Coll d’Ordino, the penultimate ascent of the day, the World Champion made his move.

And once again, Tadej Pogačar did it his way.

He rode solo for almost 40 kilometers, extending his lead and strengthening the red jersey he claimed from the very first stage with a brilliant opening time trial.

The red jersey, now looking more and more at home on his shoulders.
