Last week, our beloved interns Chung Jia Yi and Wong Hui Xuan from UCSI officially wrapped up their internship journey with us at Kane Music. Weโ€™re so grateful for all the effort, passion, and dedication they brought to the team.

Hui Xuan supported our outreach & social media, and helped behind the scenes for events like Flute Encounters and the Altus Educator Workshop. Jia Yi assisted with admin work such as preparing our e-commerce, receipt claims, and even helped with some shop renovations. All while preparing for a trio debut recital.

Your presence made our shop run smoother, and brought joy to the team. Thank you both, and weโ€™re wishing you all the best in your future endeavours. Hope our paths cross again!

ASWO x Kane Music Shah Alam

We were truly honored to be the Official Instrument Care & Repair Partner for the ASWO Heart Beat Band Clinic held on 2nd May at Dewan Sri Budiman, UiTM Shah Alam.

It was an amazing day to watch 80 talented students from three schools,Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah , Sekolah Menengah Sains Selangor , and Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah in a session led and tutored by UiTM lecturers and students, together with the ASWO band director and end with everyone performing together.

Throughout the clinic, we set up our repair booth and accessory display, not only to support repairs, but also to help students learn proper instrument care and maintenance.

Thank you again to ASWO and the team for having us, and weโ€™re wishing you all the best for your upcoming World Music Contest!

Participants had a great time at the Altus Educator Workshopโ€˜s Flute Showcase, freely trying out Altus Flutes A9 to A12 models, Di Zhao Flutes, piccolo and the Song Flute Headjoints on display.

It was lovely watching students and musicians pick up the flutes, explore the tones, and find the one that suited them best.

The showcase also doubled up as an intermission filler, giving everyone something fun to explore during the 10-minute break. โŒ›

Our technician Annie was at the repair booth, offering FREE Flute Minor Adjustments to participants. ๐Ÿคฉ From sticky keys to quick tune-ups, Annie made sure every flute was in tip-top condition before the workshop began. Itโ€™s all part of Kane Musicโ€™s ongoing commitment of giving back to the flute community as well as to support flautists and nurture the community we love.

We also set up an accessories booth featuring a curated selection of flute essentials like flute cases, flute cushions, and thumbports and others that are useful for flutists. ๐Ÿชˆโœจ

It was great seeing participants browse the accessories with curiosity, ask questions, and discover little tools that can make a big difference in their playing comfort and daily care routine.

It was a meaningful afternoon at Recital Hall, Sunway Square last Sunday. Our very first Altus Educator Workshop Series brought together teachers, students, and parents, all united by a shared love for the flute.

Guided by our Altus Educators Lawrence Chiu and ๐’๐ข๐จ๐ฐ ๐‚๐ก๐ข Ayumi Wong, participants explored lots of thoughtful practice routine of tone, scales, arpeggios, and daily warm-ups before getting into the works of ๐„๐ซ๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ ๐Šรถ๐ก๐ฅ๐ž๐ซ.

The closing duet by Lawrence and Siow Chi reminded everyone why we do this in the first place, and a few lucky participants get free limited edition of Altus 45th Anniversary Coasters for answering our pop quiz correctly!

A heartfelt thank you to Sunway Music, Sunway University Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Sunway University for hosting us at Sunway Square Mall. For those who have registered for Minor Adjustment, we have extended the minor adjustment time slot. The updated time is now ๐Ÿ:๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ฉ๐ฆ-๐Ÿ:๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ๐ฉ๐ฆ. You may drop your flute starting from 1pm, shop around, and come back to collect your flute before the workshop starts at 3pm!
