Another stuck bottom out shock came in 😮‍💨

Usually this happens when seal wear or pressure imbalance inside the air can causes the shock to get trapped deep in its travel.

🚨 Even with air released from the valve, trapped pressure can still stay inside — so opening it wrongly can be dangerous.

🛠️ Proper fix:
✅ Safe pressure release
✅ Air can service
✅ Seal replacement
✅ Clean, grease & rebuild

🔥 Result:
Travel back to normal, smooth again, and ready to ride.

When your shock gets stuck down, it’s not dead — it just needs proper service. 💪

Shock stuck down? Here’s what happened:
This shock was locked at end stroke due to trapped air pressure imbalance inside the air can — usually caused by worn seals, pressure crossover, or overdue service.

🚨 The risky part: Even after releasing air from the valve, trapped pressure can still remain inside. Removing the air can can cause a sudden loud air blast if not handled properly.

🛠️ Proper fix:
✅ Safe pressure release
✅ Air can removal
✅ Full seal service & internal cleaning
✅ Re-grease, rebuild & reset
🔥 Result: Smooth travel restored, full stroke back, and suspension working like it should.

Not every loud bang is damage — sometimes it’s just years of trapped pressure coming out. 💨💪

Something a little different on the workbench today..

This Cannondale Jekyll Carbon 2 comes equipped with the rare DYAD pull shock, a special collaboration with Fox Racing Shock. Unlike conventional shocks, this system uses a pull design with dual chambers, giving riders two distinct ride modes in one setup. What makes it special:

⚙️ Smooth and sensitive off the top
💨 Larger air volume for a more planted, coil-like feel
🌡️ Handles heat better on long, aggressive runs
🔄 Two travel settings with dedicated tuning for each
