蛇被称为 (小龙). 象征着吉祥和神圣. 除了龙是虚幻外, 蛇是唯一身上长有鳞片的, 也视为生命, 能量和精力的源泉.蛇喜欢生活在近水处, 而下雨时的雷电以及雨后彩虹的形状与蛇类似. 因此, 蛇也被远古人当做雨神/水神来崇拜.

Snakes are called "little dragons" and symbolize good luck and holiness. Compared with the other twelve zodiac signs, snakes are the only cold-blooded animals. Apart from the dragon, which is an animal with only appearance, snakes are the only animals with scales on their bodies.

Snakes are regarded as the source of life, energy and vitality. Snakes like to live by the water. The shapes of thunder and lightning during rain and rainbows after rain are similar to snakes. Therefore, snakes were also worshipped as rain gods/water gods by the ancients.
