All submitted entries for DeToyz Plamo Contest 2026 are now online.

This year’s Diorama Year invited builders to work around three ideas:

Story. Scene. Expression.

Every entry approaches that direction differently—from battlefield moments and dramatic encounters to character displays and original scenes.

The LEGO August 2026 releases have arrived at DeToyz—and this batch is all about vehicles.

Five new LEGO Technic models are here, including the Dodge Viper GTS-R, Ferrari 488 Pista, customizable Ford Mustang GT, Ducati Desmo450 MX and the app-controlled Batmobile Tumbler.

For Speed Champions collectors, the classic BMW M3 E30 has arrived alongside the Jaguar Project 7 & Land Rover Defender two-vehicle set.

Different sizes, different building experiences, but plenty here for car, motorcycle and Batman fans.

AE86 Issues 34–37 completed.
The build is getting more complex, and I am starting to understand why a real car costs so much, lol.

These four issues move into the engine-bay assembly, beginning with the bulkhead and adding more engine-compartment details.
I initially thought the bulkhead would be metal, but it is actually a plastic part.

Build Note: Be careful when fitting the bulkhead onto the floor pan. The floor-pan assembly is already quite heavy, and its weight could damage the plastic bulkhead if it is not supported properly.

The right front fender apron is also installed during this stage. Take care not to damage the small engine-bay details or scratch the painted surface while positioning it.

The labels are printed. The stage is waiting for you, builders.

Each DPC 2026 entry will have its own display label, carrying its entry number and title beside the completed work.

Tomorrow, 1 August 2026, is the final day for entry submission.

Registered participants who have not submitted yet, please bring your completed entry and assigned DPC entry number to DeToyz during shop hours.

One final day. We look forward to seeing the remaining stories take their places on the DPC 2026 stage.

RS Watanabe custom wheel set completed.

I assembled all four wheels together, and they will eventually replace the original wheels supplied with the DeAgostini 1/8 AE86.

The RS Watanabe design gives the car a much stronger classic Japanese street and racing appearance.

Build Note: There is a small rotation-direction arrow moulded onto each tyre sidewall. Check the arrow carefully before fitting the wheels—the arrow at the top of the tyre should point toward the front of the car.

The tyres on the left and right sides may appear mirrored when viewed from outside, but all four must rotate in the correct forward direction.
