Can you take a glass container straight from the fridge into the microwave? 🤔 Will it break suddenly?

Yes, it can, especially if the temperature change is too sudden.

This happens because when a cold glass container is heated quickly, the material expands unevenly. That stress can cause cracking or even breakage in some cases.
So it’s not about whether glass can be used in a microwave, but how you handle the temperature change.

How to prevent:
Let it sit at room temperature before heating. Use heat-resistant glass, and always remove the lid before microwaving 👍

A beautiful afternoon filled with cooking, laughter, teamwork and lots of little happy faces ✨

Together with , we welcomed families for a fun parent-child cooking experience where little chefs got to explore cooking hands-on, learn new things and create memories together 🍳

Watching parents and kids cook side by side, help each other, and create memories together was honestly the best part of the day 💛

Can you store hot food in plastic containers? 🤔 Is it harmful?

Yes, you can, but putting very hot food straight into a plastic container is not recommended.

Many people worry whether this can release harmful substances. For food-grade plastic containers, normal use is generally safe. However, when food is very hot and sealed immediately, heat and steam build up inside, which is not ideal with repeated use over time.

So it’s not about plastic being unsafe, but how you use it.

Here’s the better way:
Let the food cool slightly first, not completely cold, just not steaming hot, then seal and store 👍

Small habit, but better for your food and your container.
