Hibiscus Holidays is a miniature hibiscus framed in the spirit of a leisurely Malaysian holiday. Created to coincide with Malaysia’s 69th year of independence, the piece draws inspiration from the country’s national flower, the nostalgic elegance of vintage resort culture, and the sun-soaked aesthetic of The White Lotus.

With its refined framing and understated charm, the work evokes a sense of old-world leisure—resortwear, tropical gardens, and languid afternoons spent somewhere beautiful. It celebrates Malaysia through a lens of class, nostalgia, and vintage glamour, transforming a familiar national symbol into a small keepsake of home.

Designed to be both displayed and worn, the miniature frame can also be styled as a pendant, carrying a little piece of Malaysian summer wherever you go.

To that white lady in Pasar Seni who said my eyeglass holders were "too expensive" and that I should lower it from RM20 from 25, from 35, from 60 because "nobody would buy them", thank you. I wish you roses, because as I was tryna make an ad for them, I decided that they look so good so I'm keeping em for myself 😄

The thing that probably grinds me gears the most is when people from c0lonizer countries come to MY country and try to put down small businesses. These people are the ultimate bullies, disguised behind fake pleasantries & "mi scusi"s. You are welcomed to leave my country, sincerely.

And I'm not saying that everyone can afford my items, which is why I do Local Love (this actually extends to people from post-colonial countries) & sliding scale pricing. If that Karen had been respectful and asked if I could possibly do 20, I would've been like heck yea, go ahead love. I'm just happy they will be of use, and that I'm making someone happy. But no, she had to be a b*tch.

So if you are a small business reading this (or anyone for that matter), do not ever let anyone dictate your worth. Know YOUR worth, and f*ck anyone who tries to argue with that. Selamat Hari Merdeka mdfkrs 🤘🏼✌🏼
