Finally sharing our little Refill or Recycle? video that we submitted for the competition🌱🎬

A Millennial aunty trying to keep up with today’s school kids and their video-editing skills… 😂

We didn’t make it into the Top 3, but somehow our little video made it into the Top 13, so I’ll happily take that! 🤣💚

More importantly, this was such a fun little project for Zen and me, and I’m glad we got to create something together around a topic we both care about.

And a special thank you to Teacher Chuah from SJKC Hua Lian 2, who joined us with the filming and even got her son involved too. It really became a little team effort. 💚

So here it is — our very-not-Gen-Alpha production. 😂

A little something to be proud of. 💚🌱

Zen and I had the opportunity to take part in an environmental short video with his school club 太平华联二校环保学会.

We didn’t make it into the Top 3, but being selected as one of the **Top 13 entries** is already something we’re really happy about. 🥹

More than the result, I’m just glad that Zen got to be part of something that encourages kids to think about the environment — and that we got to create something together along the way.

Honestly, I’m very grateful when customers call and say, “It’s okay, we can wait for you.” 😂

Being a one-woman show means my weekday opening hours are a little odd hahaha. But, this is also how I get to take care of my kids.

So yes, I am very grateful and actually really enjoy what I do. Just figuring out how to make the shop work around my life too.

Hand wash. Body wash. Shampoo. Dish wash. Laundry detergent.

Finish the product. Keep the bottle. Refill it. ♻️

That’s the kind of everyday low-waste habit we’re trying to make a little easier at Sōka. 🌿

For the second year in a row, Taiping CRC Annual Swimming Gala commissioned us to prepare their competition prizes — and once again, we turned used detergent and soap bottles into something worth taking home.

Not everything has to be new to be valuable. Sometimes, it just needs a little imagination.
