Every admission season, thousands of candidates log into their JAMB CAPS portal hoping to see good news, only to find "Not Admitted" staring back at them. If this is you, don't panic. This simply means no institution has yet recommended or offered you admission through CAPS at this point. Below are five common reasons this happens, and what you can do about each one.

Your bio-data, O'level results, or UTME details may not fully match what is on your JAMB profile. Always double-check that your details are consistent across JAMB, WAEC/NECO, and your institution's portal.

Institutions require specific O'level subject combinations with credit passes, usually at not more than two sittings. If your results don't meet the minimum requirement for your chosen course, or if you uploaded the wrong result, your admission cannot be processed until this is corrected.

Every course and institution has a cut-off mark.
