You think carryover dey painful? Wait till you send 200 CVs and no single “we regret to inform you” enter your mail.
You think hostel is bad? Wait till you pay 700k for one room face-me-I-face-you for Egbeda and landlord still dey increase rent.

Harsh reality #1: Nobody outside cares that your school had ASUU strike. The job market no go pause because you lost 1 year.
Harsh reality #2: “I graduated with 2.2” will not move oga at the gate. He has 500 applications with 4.5 on his table.
Harsh reality #3: Certificate will get you to the door. Skills will enter the room and sit down. If you have both, you’re dangerous.

Harsh reality #3: The job you think is beneath you now, after 2 years of job hunting you go apply for am with thanksgiving.
Harsh reality #4: Connection dey help, but competence dey keep. If you enter with leg and you no sabi work, they will show you the door.
Harsh reality #5: Every skill you refuse to learn now, you go pay to learn later when bills dey choke.

So wake up.
This is your rehearsal. Outside is the live show.
Use strike period learn that tech skill. Use weekend learn that handwork. Use night class master that course.

*YOU THINK SCHOOL HARD? OUTSIDE NA SECONDARY SCHOOL FINAL EXAM EVERY DAY*

For school, if you fail you fit rewrite.
Outside, if you fumble, village people no go even get chance. Sapa go finish you first.

Harsh reality #1: Inside school, your biggest problem is CGPA. Outside, your problem is CGPA, NEPA, landlord, transport, feeding, black tax, and police wahala. All at once.
Harsh reality #2: Lecturer fit give you 40% for attendance. Oga for work go sack you for coming 5 minutes late. No begging.
Harsh reality #3: Your parents still send 10k “manage”. After school, you’re the one sending 10k and still apologizing say e small.
Harsh reality #4: “I’m a graduate” no dey buy fuel. “I sabi do this” dey buy fuel, dey pay rent, dey chop.
Harsh reality #5: The same skill you’re saying “I no get time for am” now, you go pay 200k to learn am later when life don press your neck.

So use this your student era well.
This is the only time you go get 24 hours and small responsibilities.
Read that course like your life depend on it. Because e go.

Harsh reality #1: For school, “carryover” na your biggest fear. Outside, “sacked” na your monthly fear.
Harsh reality #2: School fit give you 2nd chance with summer course. Life no dey do summer. You miss am, you miss am.
Harsh reality #3: Your CGPA can enter CV. But na your skill go make HR call you. Na your result dey bring you in, na your value dey keep you there.
Harsh reality #4: The same phone you dey use watch BBN for 3 hours fit pay your rent if you use am learn copywriting, design, coding, trading.
Harsh reality #5: Nobody go ask you “how was school?” when you graduate. Dem go ask “wetin you dey do now?” If your answer na “I dey find work”, prepare for pity and pepper.

So lock in.
This your 4 years na cheat code if you use am well.
Attend class, but no stop for class. Learn wetin school no go teach you.

You dey proud say you’re in UNN, UNILAG, ABU?

You dey form scholar because you sabi cram and pour?
Outside, dem no dey ask for definition. Dem go give you problem and 24 hours. If you no deliver, another graduate dey outside gate with laptop ready.

You dey look down on that your course mate wey dey learn phone repair?
He go graduate with certificate AND customer base. You go graduate with certificate and “please help me with any job”.

Harsh reality #1: Nigeria get 2 million graduates every year. Jobs no reach 100k. Do the maths. Na skill go separate you.
Harsh reality #2: “I no like my course” no be excuse. Outside no care. Learn something you like on top of wetin school give you. Add value to yourself.
Harsh reality #3: For school, you fit dodge class. Outside, if you dodge responsibility, hunger go locate your address.
Harsh reality #4: The same data you dey use post “soft life” fit teach you SQL, Python, Canva, Forex, Graphics. But you say you no get time.
Harsh reality #5: After school, “I’m an introvert” no go pay bills. Learn to talk, network, sell yourself. Or stay broke in peace.

So while you dey here, collect double.
Collect the BSc. Collect the skills. Collect the street sense.
Use strike period learn something. Use holiday learn something. Use night learn something.

You dey skip class because “school na scam”?
Oya continue. Outside go scam you so tey you go beg to go back to 100 level.

Harsh reality #1: For school, your worst month is when pocket money finish. Outside, your best month is when you fit eat 3 times a day.
Harsh reality #2: “I studied” no dey special outside. Everybody studied. What makes you different? If you no know, OYO is your case.
Harsh reality #3: That 2.1 you’re killing yourself for? If you no fit defend am with skill, na just fancy number on A4 paper. Employers go use am wipe table.
Harsh reality #4: The same 4 years you use to complain about “this course hard”, your mate use am learn 3 skills, build portfolio, and don dey earn in dollars. Una go graduate the same day.
Harsh reality #5: Outside, “I don try” no dey pay NEPA bill. “I deliver” dey pay. If you no fit deliver, you go explain taya.

School is not just for passing. It’s for preparing.
