🔥 What you focus on becomes bigger in your life. The question is: what are you looking at today?
On Sunday, my pastor shared an illustration that got me thinking.
Imagine there was $5 million placed at the altar.
Now imagine the path to that altar was filled with obstacles—broken bottles, challenges, discomfort, and things that could discourage you from moving forward.
The question was simple:
Would you still make your way to the altar to get the $5 million?
Most people would say yes.
Why?
Because their focus would not be on the obstacles.
Their focus would be on the reward.
As we discussed this illustration again this morning, a powerful lesson stood out to me:
What you focus on grows.
When your eyes are fixed on the goal, the obstacles may still be there, but they no longer become the center of your attention.
Life will always have challenges.
There will always be risks.
There will always be reasons to stop, complain, or give up.
But if all you see are the obstacles, you'll miss the opportunities.
If all you focus on are the problems, you'll struggle to see the possibilities.
Today, choose to focus on the vision.
Focus on the purpose.
Focus on the opportunity.
Focus on the growth you desire.
Focus on the future you're building.
The obstacles may be real, but they don't have to be your focus.
Remember:
✨ What you water grows.
✨ What you focus on expands.
✨ What you consistently look at influences where you go.
