Breaking News from Colossal Biosciences

SOUND ON. You’re hearing the first howl of a dire wolf in over 10,000 years. Meet Romulus and Remus—the world’s first de-extinct animals, born on October 1, 2024.

The dire wolf has been extinct for over 10,000 years. These two wolves were brought back from extinction using genetic edits derived from a complete dire wolf genome, meticulously reconstructed by Colossal from ancient DNA found in fossils dating back 11,500 and 72,000 years. This moment marks not only a milestone for us as a company but also a leap forward for science, conservation, and humanity. From the beginning, our goal has been clear: “To revolutionize history and be the first company to use CRISPR technology successfully in the de-extinction of previously lost species.” By achieving this, we continue to push forward our broader mission on—accepting humanity’s duty to restore Earth to a healthier state.

But this isn’t just our moment—it’s one for science, our planet, and humankind. All of which we love and are passionate about. Now, close your eyes and listen to that how human kind adore. Think about what this means for all of us.

One day, the road ends.

The dishes sit untouched in the sink,
The TV hums to no one,
The book remains open,
its final page never turned.

The road ends.

Clothes still hang in the closet,
Sheets neatly folded,
The house in perfect order,
As if time itself paused.

The road ends.

Slippers rest by the door,
A table set for a meal never had,
Cold coffee lingers in a forgotten cup,
A portrait gathers dust,
A to-do list on the fridge left unfinished.

The road—my road—ends.

Yet, the world continues.

Spring will return with new blossoms,
The seasons will change without me,
Departures and arrivals will persist,
Laughter will echo in places I once stood.

There will be new love, new friendships,
New chapters written beyond my story.

Life will move forward,
Even when I no longer walk its path.

So today, as long as breath still fills my lungs,
Let my prayer be this:

If I take nothing with me,
May I leave behind something beautiful—
A memory, a kindness,
A warmth in the hearts of those I’ve met.

That, even when my road ends,
Love remains.

On on this Day 7th April 1994, Rwandan prime minister was assassinated by some Hutu soldiers, after the death of the country's president along side Burundi's president. Both presidents died in a plane crashed. This event lead to the ever ugly genocide you don't want to think of in Africa.
Africans most come together to fight any form of tribalism and religious sentiment. We have so much to achieve together than separately.

Presidential elections were held in Afghanistan on October 9, 2004. Hamid Karzai won the elections with 55.4% of the vote and three times more votes than any other candidate. Twelve candidates received less than 1% of the vote. It is estimated that more than three-quarters of Afghanistan's nearly 12 million registered voters cast ballots. The elections were overseen by the Joint Electoral Management Body, chaired by Zakim Shah and vice-chaired by Ray Kennedy, an American working for the United Nations. After some accusations of fraud circulated on the day of the election, at least fifteen candidates declared that they were boycotting the ballot, but the boycott dissolved when the United Nations announced it would set up a three-person independent panel to investigate the charges of irregularities. The panel included a former Canadian diplomat, a Swedish electoral expert, and the third member was later named by the European Union.

The date was originally set for July 5, 2004. The elections were twice postponed, first until September, and then until October. Candidates for president also nominated two vice-presidential candidates. Some candidates used this to balance their ticket with regard to Afghanistan's three main ethnic communities. If no candidate had secured 50% of the votes, a run-off election would have been held.

The Mongolian Revolution of 1990, known in Mongolia as the 1990 Democratic Revolution (Mongolian: 1990 оны ардчилсан хувьсгал, romanized: 1990 ony ardchilsan khuvisgal), was a peaceful democratic revolution which led to the country's transition to a multi-party system. It was inspired by the economic reforms of the Soviet Union in the late 1980s and was one of the many revolutions of 1989. It was led mostly by young demonstrators who rallied at Sükhbaatar Square, in the capital city Ulaanbaatar. The main organisers of the demonstrations included Sanjaasürengiin Zorig, Erdeniin Bat-Üül, Davaadorjiin Ganbold, Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, Bat-Erdeniin Batbayar.
Although one-party rule in Mongolia officially ended with the adoption of a new constitution on February 12, 1992, the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP) remained in power until it was outvoted by the Democratic Union Coalition in the 1996 legislative election. However, the country had already begun transitioning to a market economy by 1991 with the creation of the stock market and the Government Privatization Committee.
