Sometimes I look back and ask myself how did I even get here?
Since June 15th 2024 this hair business has taught me lessons I never planned for.
Not just about hair but about me.
I started with so much hope and a soft heart.
I wanted everyone to be happy.I wanted to be affordable.I wanted customers to stay.So many times, I reduced my prices, even when it hurt my profit just because I didn’t want to disappoint anyone. There were moments I questioned myself.
Moments I felt too soft for business.
Moments I wondered if this softness would make me fail.
But despite the fear… I kept going.Every order, every late night reply every revamp every delivery carried my heart in it.
I showed up even when sales were slow. I stayed honest even when cutting prices felt easier than standing firm.
This journey hasn’t been perfect.
I’ve made mistakes.
I’ve underpriced myself.
I’ve learned the hard way.
But I’m still here.
Still learning.
Still growing.
Still building Zukkyhair80s with integrity patience, and love.
To every customer who trusted me, supported me and believed in my brand thank you.
Your support kept me standing when self doubt wanted to sit me down.
This is not the end of my story.
This is the part where I grow stronger, wiser, and more confident in my worth.
I’m learning that being kind doesn’t mean underselling myself.
And growth sometimes requires uncomfortable decisions.
From July 2024 till date I’m proud of how far I’ve come.
And I’m excited for who I’m becoming
Thank you for walking this journey with me.
Happy new year.
Happy 2026

Every language has a set of sounds that native speakers can distinguish. Some sounds create meaningful differences between words, while others are simply variations of the same sound.
To describe these relationships, linguists use two important concepts: allophones and minimal pairs.

👉 What Are Allophones?

Allophones are different pronunciations of the same phoneme.
They do not change word meaning. Instead, they occur because of:

Position in a word

Neighbouring sounds

Accent or speech style

Key Points About Allophones

They are phonetic variations.

They cannot create new words.

Native speakers often do not notice the difference.

Examples

1. English /t/ has several allophones:

[tʰ] in top (aspirated)

[t] in stop (unaspirated)

[ɾ] in water (flapped in American English)

[t̚] in cat (unreleased)

All these are pronunciations of the same phoneme /t/.

👇 What Are Minimal Pairs?

Minimal pairs are two words that differ by only one phoneme, and this difference changes the meaning.
They show which sounds are contrastive (i.e., true phonemes) in a language.

Key Points About Minimal Pairs

They demonstrate phonemic contrast.

One sound difference = two different words.

They help identify which sounds are meaningful in a language.

Examples

1. /p/ vs /b/

pat vs bat

2. /iː/ vs /ɪ/

sheep vs ship

3. /f/ vs /v/

fan vs van

Since the meanings change, the differing sounds are separate phonemes, not allophones.

✅ The Difference in One Sentence

Allophones are different ways of pronouncing the same phoneme (no change in meaning).

Minimal pairs show different phonemes that change meaning when substituted.
