At first, I thought it was gist. You know how people exaggerate things online—one minute it’s “the best thing ever,” the next minute it’s forgotten. But this one? Ehn, it kept popping up. People weren’t just talking, they were whispering like it was some secret you had to experience yourself.

Life is funny one small “I’ll do it tomorrow” can just carry you, and next thing you know, time has flown. But abeg, who else has that habit of ‘small break’ that turns into ‘long holiday’?

Saturday be like play play scam sha 😂

You’ll sleep on Friday night and whisper to yourself: “Tomorrow, I’m not doing anything. I’ll just lie down, eat, sleep, scroll phone, and catch cruise.”

Next thing, Saturday will just open eye and start calling you like exam invigilator.
Before 9am, you’ve washed clothes.
By 11, you’re scrubbing bathroom.
By 1, somebody has already shouted your name from the kitchen: “Come and turn that soup, before it burns!”
And just when you think you’re done, one wedding or birthday party will appear from nowhere.

Now look at you, stressed and tired, and Sunday is already clearing throat like “my turn is next.” 😭

Sometimes I ask myself—where’s the Saturday I promised myself in secondary school that I’ll just rest, press phone and sleep?
