"SANGO!" Immediately the words flew out of her mouth, a bolt of lightning shot down from the sky and bathed itself upon her body. Fully engulfed with the intense energy of the lightning bolt, the Lady stretched her palms at the gunmen. And once she did, blasts of lightning bolt shot out of her palms and knocked the gunmen unto the ground unconscious. Breathing steadily, the Lady turned back at Danny and smiled. Slowly, her body reverted back to normal. The lightning coursing through her body faded into nothingness.

"Nice timing Ancestor." Danny said smiling.

"I kind of love the dramatic entrance." The Lady replied. Her accent was Nigerian. She was a sixteen year old girl, average in height, slender in shape and had sharp facial looks. Her eyes were sharp, her nose pointed and her lips were full. Her dreadlocked hair was black and was cut low, each short lock pointing upwards like sharp darts.
She was clad in a tight black suit. From the neck region of the suit down to the short sleeve arms and the area across her chest region was coloured blue. The rest of the costume was coloured black. Upon her waist, a blue coloured scarf-like material was firmly strapped, and it ran across her butt and tied firmly to her sides with two of the lose ends dangling beside her waist. On her feet were black fitted boots.

"I would've loved to stay for more chit chat but...." Danny began to take steps backwards. ".....gotta go now. I'm needed, first class emergency."

"I could come lend a helping hand." The Lady offered.

"Nahh, just make sure these guys get the punishment they deserve and yunno, continue helping your people." Danny said and then he zoomed out of the forest at superspeed, leaving a contrail of dust behind him.

ISENGARD
SEASON ONE - EPISODE SEVEN (TEMPTATION)

[EARTH ANCIENT, ISENGARD]

It was a bloody day for Isengard, and so it has been for the past few months since Marcus disappeared from Isengard. News of Isengard being crumbled by a fast moving being travelled faster than light and seizing the opportunity, many kingdoms had formed alliances to lay waste and to plunder the prosperous kingdom.
The kingdom was at the brink of falling, falling into defeat as most of Isengard's warriors had been vanquished. And as the war continued to ravage, Isengard slowly lost its might and as it seemed, it was only a matter of time before it fell to the enemy. Lawlessness had taken control of the kingdom as robbers, highway men and every imaginable hoodlum took to the streets, plundering and looting all they can. These and other worse things took over only because Isengard had lost her army general.
The enemies from the aligning kingdoms weren't the only opponents faced by the kingdom, even bandits had formed themselves into an army, aiming to break through into the kingdom. And Miranda in team up with Elyan, Armstrong and the rest of the knights saw to it that order was restored to Isengard. But no matter how hard they tried, only the voice of Marcus could give the kingdom the needed strength.
Loud clangs echoed out on the outskirts of Isengard as Miranda and a few other knights battled out with a horde of bandits. These bandits were a smaller group of untrained criminals, but the urge to loot and trespass Isengard was a formidable weapon that gave them the needed strength.
Miranda stood her ground against the group of bandits that charged at her, her sword held firmly. And as one of them swung his sword at her, she swiftly moved to her side, averting the strike. Twirling her sword at a great speed, she struck the bandit unto the ground. Another one cornered her, raised his sword and made to strike her, but acting in swift motion, Miranda raised her sword and blocked the attack, and then she shot her foot against the bandit's belly. And as the bandit lost his footing, Miranda swung at him and plunged her sword into his chest.
Pulling out the sword quickly, she swung low, dodging a sword that was swung at her by another bandit. Averting the strike, Miranda swiftly erected herself and sent her sword driving deep into the man's chest. Then, she swiftly pulled out her sword and buried it into another bandits chest.
Not swift enough to pull back the sword, she freed her grip on the sword and made a backflip, retreating from a group of bandits that charged at her all at once.

"You lots don't like fair play " Miranda breathed heavily as she landed on her feet. "Neither do I."
And as the bandit neared her, she rammed into them at an incredible speed. Sending the bandits, her fellow knights and every other locomotive being below her speed into a nigh slow motion, and taking advantage of her dragon blood induced speed, Miranda acted swiftly.
Grabbing the closest bandit, she struck her rigid punch unto his stomach. Then moving at the same speed, she slammed her two fists at two bandits, then she proceeded to the next one and struck a powerful punch until his chin.
Then gaining more momentum, Miranda bulleted at the bandits that surrounded her and knocked them few metres into the air. Then, rushing at the ones contending with her fellow knights, Miranda slammed her rigid fists at them and then, flying upwards at a tremendous speed, she conjured her flames. Adhering to her summon, her fists got wrapped with blankets of flames and as she proceeded to the ground, she struck her fists unto the ground. A circular wave of destructive flames spread out from the point of impact and immediately time went back to normalcy and the hordes of bandits found themselves plumpishing to the ground and the ones surrounding her getting struck few metres away before plumping below.
Regrouping with her knights, Miranda cast a glance at the horizon. And the view that met her gaze was alarming. The lower towns on the southern part of the kingdom was taken and a rife amount of soldiers, enemy soldiers were marching towards the city.
Feeling worn out and defeated, Miranda shrieked. "Retreat!"
And obeying their leader's voice, the small band of knights knew their way back into the kingdom.

* * *

Marching swiftly across a long hall, Miranda made her way to the queens quarters. She knew what must be done, and that was what she wanted to be done. The Queen had to leave the city and this had to be done at that moment. She couldn't bear having her hurt. After few hurried steps, she arrived at the Queens door, and without knocking, she bursted in.
Lika, who had been standing by her window glancing down at the courtyard got startled and swiftly, she shot a glance at the door. Her eyes met with that of Miranda and her face knew relief.

"What is happening out there Miranda?" She asked, walking up to her.

"My Lady, you need to leave the kingdom." Miranda announced.

"What!" Lika exclaimed. "No, no way!"

"My Lady, there is no time to waste. As we speak, a great army approaches us and we don't know how long we will be able to hold them off before we are overrun." Miranda explained.

"No!" Lika sat upon her bed, her heart totally shattered. "This can't be happening. This can't be happening." She buried her face into her palms and stayed that way for a few moments.
Miranda walked up to her, sat beside her and placed a palm on Lika's shoulder.

"My Lady," Miranda began softly. "This is a time we need the strength and courage of the Queen most. This times, we all have to make hard decisions, we all have to do what must be done."

"The strength of the Queen can only be gotten if the Queen fights by her people, that's the only way I can bring hope to our people." Lika clamoured.

"No, my Lady." Miranda smiled. "The Queen can give us hope when she's alive. You being alive makes us strong, it makes us firmer and it gives us hope. Hope that even in the midst of all these perils, even in the darkest of nights, there's a light still shining, a light that will bring back our lost lands."
Smiling, Lika said. "You make light words even in approaching doom."

"My Lady, it is my duty to protect the throne. You, and the baby must exit Isengard now." Miranda urged.
And revealingly, Lika was with child, her belly shooting forward with pregnancy.

"Stay strong for me, Miranda." Lika held Miranda's palms. "Stay strong."
And then, they pulled each other into a tight hug, tears streaming down their faces.
Then, disengaging from the hug, Miranda said in a rush. "You shall head to the library where Elliot and a team of female warriors shall lead you through the secret tunnel and through the frosty forest to the castle of old Kings. And my Lady, please stay alive."
Lika nodded, and releasing her hands from Miranda's grip, she said. "I shall miss you."
And before Miranda could reply, the rumble of the toll bell echoed out from the distance.

"My queen, you must leave, now!" Miranda grabbed hold of Lika's hand and led her to the wall at the corner of the room, then making three taps on the wall, a secret doorway appeared. And without hesitation, Lika walked through. Once she was within the bounds of the doorway, the door slid close, hiding it's true form behind the wall.

The entire courtyard of the palace castle was crammed with a rife amount of Isengard's Knights, their silver armour glistening under the blazing sun. They stood at attention, each knight armed with a long spear and a round iron shield. Their faces held firmness and their minds were made up; they were prepared to die protecting the kingdom.
At the frontline, Miranda, Elyan and Armstrong made their stands. Miranda and Armstrong were both clad in silver plates armour. Elyan was dressed in tight brown leather outfits, while Armstrong had his axe-head resting itself on his shoulders while its handle gripped firmly in his palm.

"Anyone nervous?" Elyan whispered as he took sharp glances at his fellow knights

"Are we supposed to be?" Miranda asked, giggling.

"If I get through this, I'm drinking ten mugs of ale." Armstrong commented loudly.
Despite the misfortune that was about to come upon them, Armstrong's words had a funny effect as an eruption of laughter bursted out of Elyan and Miranda.

"You ain't doing that alone ." Elyan giggled.

"Very unserious fellows." A Knight standing beside them grunted in irritation.

"Cool it Edmund..." Miranda said, her eyes gazing at Knight Edmund. "Allow them."

"Humph...." Knight Edmund scoffed, rolling his eyes. "If we get through this, we're going to do a dozen round of arm wrestling."

"Whooo, I smell defeat." Miranda laughed.
In a sudden, a loud bang echoed from the giant gates that stood metres from them. The gates shook as the bang echoed out. This brought uneasiness to the soldiers waiting in readiness.

"Take formation!" Miranda shrieked. And in obedience, and as they had been taught, each soldier raised his shield and pointed his spear forward. Then, the second bang came, this time, the gates shook heavily.
Gulping, Miranda awaited the next bang, her sword raised. Then, the bang came. And this time, the gates gave way. The high iron gates, which seemed as though nothing on earth could pull them down, came plumpishing to the ground, a great shockwave erupting from the impact.
Without hesitation, the enemies made a mad charge into the city, loud battle cries erupting from their mouths.

"FOR ISENGARD!" Miranda shrieked out loud before charging at the approaching enemy soldiers. Then, his knights followed suit, untold volumes of battle cries erupting from them. And as the two opponents came crashing into each other, the great battle began.

The afternoon sun was still blazing hot, but its intense illumination could not pe*****te through the thick groves that surrounded the frosty forest which Queen Lika and her procession of Elliot and six female warriors journeyed through. Their horses moved at slow paces and depicting from the hard breaths escaping from the travellers mouths, it could be said that they had been riding for quiet a time.
Lika's horse was at the centre of the warriors, Elliot riding beside her. Three of the female warriors were in front while the rest three were riding behind them. After a few more moments of silent ride, Lika turned her head at Elliot. She couldn't help but notice the weariness written on his face. The young lad had been journeying with her even when he was still inexperienced. And so, she decided to start a conversation.

"Hey, you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah." Elliot nodded. "Very okay, except for the chill."

"Yeah, that's right." Lika chuckled. "The forest is always chilly."
Elliot smiled and nodded.

"What do you think is happening back there?" Lika asked again.

"I'm very sure we will come out victorious." Elliot replied.

"You're positive." Lika chuckled again. "You know, the last time Isengard went into a massive war was in the days of my grandfather. He fought a battle with the legendary warriors of Oolmur."

"The Celestial Knights?" Elliot gasped, not believing Lika's words.

"Not really the Celestial Knights, but there was one who led the battle. They call him the Dark Knight, the very fiercest of the Celestial Knights and the very one who took my grandfather's life. He led the armies of Oolmur into battle against Isengard." Lika paused and exhaled deeply. She was beginning to feel the chill too. "A stroke of his sword and thousands of our warriors perished, this sword was forged from the very source of the Knight's powers."

"The orb of might." Elliot chipped in. "Heard a lot about it."

"Yes, each Celestial Knight wielded a sword of this manner. And if anyone of them were to lose it, he or she would lose the title of the Celestial Knight. Well, unless the powers contained within the sword is drawn out."

"So, did anyone of them lose the sword?" Elliot asked.

"Yes, one did." Lika sighed. "His name was Ni**od, Eldest son of the Elder Celeste and brother to the youngest Knight, Zephyr."
A moment of silence reigned. Then, Lika continued.

"He had a great passion for humans, he loved everything about the earthlings and so, he became obsessed with them. So, one day, he exchanged his sword for a portal that would take him to the human world and far away from the grasp of his family. He got what he wanted, and his sword was separated from him and cast out of the realm...." Miranda stopped.
A rustle of leaves brought their uninterrupted journey to a sudden stop. A chill ran through Lika's spine. Withdrawing their swords, the six female warriors became alert. Their eyes roved rapidly around.
Elliot who had unmounted from his horse withdrew his sword and took few steps towards the warriors who had also dropped unto the grounds with their swords drawn. As Elliot made his ears and mind active, his instincts kicked in rapidly, then making a leap, he made a dive unto the ground. A wooden spike held on both ends by strong ropes had released itself from the top of a tree, and Elliot had been quick enough to dodge it. But unfortunately for the other three girls who were not swift enough, the spike had slammed into them, piercing through their bodies and sending them to their quick deaths.
Lika gasped in horror as she beheld her guards getting crushed to their deaths. She felt weakened that these people were dying to protect her. And with trembling hands, she pulled out the sword that was sheathed on the horse she rode on. Regrouping together, Elliot and the three other knights made a circle round Lika, each of them having their backs at her.

"Steady..." Elliot muttered as he heard the ruffling of leaves getting closer. Then, dozens of armed bandits came charging out from the bushes around. "Steady...!"
The bandits were about two dozens and each of them held big curved swords. Their mouths were emitting murderous cries as they charged madly at Lika and her entourage.

"Now!" Elliot screamed. And as each one of them was taught, they spread out and rushed into the approaching villains. Elliot held Lika's hand with his free hand and sped towards the bandits that charged at him.
Getting closer, he swung his sword and blocked multiple sword strokes. Then moving his hand swiftly, he twirled the sword and slashed three bandits throats. Freeing his hand from Lika's arm, Elliot pulled out his other sword, blocked an attack then, using his other sword, he plunged a deep hole into the bandits chest. Withdrawing his sword swiftly, he blocked another sword strike, before striking the bandit unto the ground.
Two other bandits who held firm ropes twirled their ropes in the air and then sent them towards Elliot. The ropes got entangled around Elliot's legs, and before he could counter the move, the bandits had pulled the ropes, sending him plumpishing to the ground.
Seizing the opportunity, a bandit that had a spear launched the tip of the spear towards Elliot's chest. Elliot who had anticipated the move swiftly rolled away from his previous position, in time to see the spear plunging itself unto the ground at the exact spot he previously laid.
Lika, who was now standing unprotected made a gasp as she slowly retreated backwards. The bandits had surrounded her and Elliot was held defenseless. Turning back, she saw as her female guards were brutally struck to their deaths.
Gasping in horror, she sprung at a nearby bandit, and catching the bandit unawares, she plunged her sword into his chest. Bursting an outpour of blood from his mouth, the bandit slowly fell unto the ground, Lika's sword still resting in the domain of his heart.
The other bandits who felt maddened let out mad roars and one of them who apparently was their leader made a furious walk towards Lika, and getting to her, he raised his hand and struck a powerful slap unto her cheeks. The force of the slap not only send Lika bursting out a loud scream, it sent her stumbling unto the ground.

"You're gonna pay for that!" The bandit who had slapped her bellowed. He was dark in complexion, his height was domineering and his voice was very thick. He was easily distinguished by his bald head and his unkempt beards.
Gasping in pains, Lika worked her fingers around her cheeks as she felt the stinging pains that had accompanied the slap. The bandit who had slapped her walked up to her, grabbed her hair angrily and dragged her unto her feet.

"Let her go!" Elliot yelled, struggling with the bandits that held him down.

"You should be thinking about yourself, not her." The bandit laughed sinisterly. "She can fetch me lots of money but you however, are worthless." He pushed Lika towards one of the bandits who held her tight, then he walked up to Elliot and bellowed.

"You're gonna have to speak for yourself!" And then, unsheathing his sword, the bandit plunged the sword deep into Elliot's chest, sending him into a quick death.

"No!" Lika screamed, her eyes knowing horror. Her very own personal bodyguard had been stabbed through the heart before her very eyes. And there she stood, screaming horrifically, entirely drowned in anguish.

"You should save those screams for later." The bandit smiled as he cleaned his sword on Elliot's wears. "You'll need them."
Signalling his subordinates, the head bandit made a walk towards Lika, held her hand and forcefully, he dragged her with him as he made towards a path that was cut across the forest.
Suddenly, few metres ahead of the bandits, a portal appeared in swift and spurted out a figure before disappearing as swiftly as it came.

"Halt." The head bandit signalled, sending his train to a stop. "Check it out." He ordered, and in obedience, three of the bandits broke out from the group and raced towards the figure that was sprawled on the ground.
Grunting in a low voice, the figure struggled to get unto his feet. And achieving his aim, the figure who appeared to be Marcus straightened himself and raised his head. Seeing Marcus, Lika gasped in relief, her eyes lost at him.

"Seriously, bandits?" Marcus was confused. His eyes went from the head bandit to Lika, then to the other bandits Taking two steps, Marcus made a dust unto his clothes. Then taking few more steps, he halted. "I leave Isengard, no, was taken across universes and I come back to meet bandits abducting my Queen. Bad move, very bad move."

"By the Knights!" The head Bandit exclaimed. "It's you!"

"Let her go." Marcus glared at the bandits.

"How...how am I supposed to know you're not fake?" The head bandit stammered.
Chuckling, Marcus replied. "Maybe this would do."
Stretching his hand at a bandit, he telekinetically pulled the bandit towards himself. And as the bandit got within close proximity, Marcus struck a powerful punch unto his chest, sending him flying straight at a tree before plumping unconsciously to the ground.

"Unlike before when my powers were locked within, now I do have a pretty great control over them and guess what? I'm not afraid of using them!" Marcus took few more steps, then again, he stretched both hands at the bandits close to him, pulled them towards each other and slammed them against each other. "I said LET HER GO!" An outburst of thunderclaps accompanied his yell, and this startled the bandits. Then, without further hesitation, the head bandit let go of Lika and found himself fleeing across the forest, his subordinates fleeing after him.

"My Queen...." Marcus muttered as he slowly walked to her.

"Marcus, you're alive!" Lika said excitedly as she jumped unto Marcus's arms. "You're alive and here!"
"Of course I'm alive." Marcus replied. "Was anything supposed to happen to me, I mean I left for just a day or two."
Disengaging from the hug, Lika stared at Marcus.
You were gone for months!" Lika was pretty puzzled. "You were gone for six months!"

"Wait, what?" Marcus couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Six months?"

"Yes, and a lot has changed. A lot has happened, and a lot is happening."

"Okay, okay, I dig the fact that time works differently in each realm, but I had no idea it was this massive. I mean, I just travelled through dimensions and we were faced with this all powerful lady that wanted to wipe out the entire planet and then my sword was the only means of ending her devilish plans....."
Marcus stopped talking, his eyes lost on Lika's shooting tummy.
Noticing Marcus's expression, Lika smiled and said. "I am with child. Our child."
Marcus kept on with the shocked expression on his face for a few moments before bursting out a loud yell of excitement. And with fiery passion, he met his lips with that of Lika and they both shared a quick moment of deep passion.

"Umm, when you're done, can you at least know I'm not dead yet?" Elliot's voice came at them.
Turning swiftly, Marcus and Lika smiled at Elliot.

"Took you long enough." Marcus said. "Saw you lying like a dead man while your Queen about to be hurled away."

"The sword was sent deep into my chest." Elliot smiled. "And besides, not all of us possess your celestially induced powers."
Hearing that, Lika turned to Marcus.

"He knows?" She asked.

"Yeah, was the only way I could keep tag on his abilities without him asking questions." Marcus explained.
Lika nodded.

"Elliot, I need you to es**rt the Queen to the Castle of Old Kings, and when she is safely within the walls of the Castle, you shall head south and then, meet me at the long bridge at the dawn of morning. " Marcus instructed.
Elliot nodded and said. "I shall do as you have said, and this time, I shall not fail."

"I am counting on your word for that." Elliot replied, nodding.

"And you, what shall you do?" Lika asked worriedly.
Marcus slowly walked few steps away from them.

"Argon foresaw these and made plans for these times." He said. " For Isengard to win the battle, it must first lost, and while losing, I wouldn't want my team to lose with it. I'm going to rescue my team of superpowered Knights then head out to seek Isengard's victory."

"And me?" Lika asked. " What would happen to me by then?"
Walking up to Lika, Marcus placed his palms on her cheeks.
"And you, my Queen," Marcus said. "Shall be protected safely in the castle and after the peril is over, by which time I'm sure our child is birthed, I shall come take you back to your rightful place in Isengard."
Then, he embraced her. A long warm hug that lasted for just a few moments before, Marcus, breaking from the hug turned round and made a leap that sent him flying out of sight.

"Wasn't that awkward?" Elliot asked.

"What?"

"Him acting all celestially Knighty?" Elliot replied. "I thought he couldn't use his powers?"
Taking a quick glance at Elliot, Lika said.

"Are you going to stand here all day gossiping, our you are gonna take me to the Castle? "

"Right, the castle." Elliot replied
Mounting their horses, Elliot led the way as he and Lika continued on their journey to the abode of old Kings, a place that would forever change the story as we see it.

CHAPTER SEVEN (BACK TO THE DARK PITS: PART ONE)

*
*
*

The silence was so great. Even the littlest sound became as a thousand spears driven into Corrigan's body. His entire body quaked as he stood face to face with the man he vowed to kill. The Man he had concluded to be responsible for the death of his Father. The Man who had assumed control and married his own mother, taking over everything that concerned his Father. The Man who became his stepfather and Master.

"Too afraid to utter a word?" HighLord's voice tore into Corrigan's thoughts.
Gulping, Corrigan said not a word. His eyes were lost upon the figure standing before him. All his life, he had waited for this moment, and yet here it was before him and his fear couldn't bring him to act.

"I think what you need is a little persuasion." HighLord said, and then in a sudden, he launched his palm forward and made a slight tap on Corrigan's chest. That single tap that appeared feeble was powerful enough to launch Corrigan off his feet and unto a tree, crashing against it violently. Corrigan plumped hard unto the ground, his mouth bursting out groans. The three he had crashed into shook heavily as most of the leaves found themselves plucked off the branches.

"You made a very terrible mistake coming here alone, Corrigan." HighLord took few steps forward, his hands wrapped behind his back. "Now, you'll have to hasten the inevitable, your painful demise."
Then, at an incredible speed, a speed so great that to Corrigan, it appeared as if he was being teleported, HighLord rushed at Corrigan, grabbed him and in the blink of an eye, they were inside the City, on the top of a five storey building. HighLord tossed Corrigan unto the floor and watched as he stumbled on the floor for a few moments before regaining his stance, he struggled unto his feet.

"Even at your most powerful state, you don't stand a chance against me." HighLord said.
Grunting in pains, Corrigan only rested his back against the parapet of the building and said nothing. His eyes firmly glued upon HighLord.

"Remember this spot?" HighLord's voice pumped into his ears. "This was exactly the same spot your mother died, right there in your arms. My very own wife died here in the most horrific manner ever. And all that was your fault!"
Before Corrigan could even fabricate a thought, HighLord had dashed at him at a very insane speed and had grabbed him by the neck. Pulling him up, HighLord stared deeply into Corrigan's eyes. He saw nothing in those eyes, no sign of remorse therein.

"This was where my wife died!" And then HighLord jammed Corrigan's back against the parapet before tossing him unto the ground again. Groaning silently, Corrigan stood unto his feet again. The pains traveling through his entire body was so excruciating, and he knew it was because the pains were inflicted by a supernatural being like himself.

"Tanya and I were planning to have a baby." HighLord began to say. "We were ready to have another child after you gruesomely murdered Sherlock. An act we have come to accept, because he died fighting you, he died a honourable death." He walked closer to Corrigan and then he continued. "Tanya left my side to come walk this Earth in search of you. She still believed you could be redeemed, she believed you could turn away from your villainous acts. She wanted you to come back home. Back to your place of origin, and guess where that led her? Her death!" And then he shot out his hand to grab Corrigan again.
But before he could achieve his purpose, Corrigan had also launched out his palm and struck a tap unto HighLord's chest. The force that erupted from that single tap projected HighLord off his feet and knocked him few metres away.
HighLord's body tumbled violently on the rooftop for a few moments before his flight kicked in, enabling him to steady himself midair. With a malicious scowl, HighLord shot down at Corrigan, and then swooped him down. They bursted through a part of the roof, smashing the concrete and launching down unto the asphalt below.
Corrigan's body plumped unto the hard hard asphalt, an eruption of dust accompanying the aftermath. Before he could pull himself off the ground, HighLord had shot down from the sky and stomped his feet upon his chest, driving him deeper into the asphalt. Corrigan bursted out loud screams, his entire body flooding in excruciating pain.

"You think you could just put everything behind you and live a normal life on Earth?" HighLord drove his boot unto Corrigan's chest one more time, sending Corrigan plumping further into the crater that had formed on the ground. "You abandoned your duty, fled from your place of birth after attempting treason against me!" HighLord dragged Corrigan up by his shirt and looked deep into his eyes. "You chased your own shadow, and now it's going to get your loved ones hurt. Oh, you don't even care about them, do you? They're are nothing but tools you just see relevant in your stay on Earth." HighLord said, and then he struck his fist upon Corrigan's face, bulleting him farther down the road, and sending Corrigan tumbling violently before smashing into a car.
Humming beneath his breath, HighLord glared at Corrigan who was struggling unto his feet. "Before you are taken back, I want your mind to grasp the gravity of what you have done." And then, he grabbed Corrigan by his leg and began dragging him down the road. Further down the road, a portal began to form. The portal emitted dark energy from within its domain as it morphed its shape to become steady.
Arriving before the portal, HighLord stopped. He dragged Corrigan unto his feet and held him by the neck.

"You shall be taken to where your stupid journey of futility began." HighLord muttered, his mouth close to Corrigan's ear. "Then, and only then will you know and feel the pain you have wrought upon your kind." HighLord then released his grip from Corrigan and struck a powerful tap upon Corrigan's chest. Corrigan found himself projected off his feet and launched straight into the portal. And once he was within its domain, the portal swallowed itself up, with Corrigan in it.

"Now to go take care of a human pest." HighLord said and began walking down the road.

* * *

Inside Spark City Memorial Hospital, Kenny lay on her bed inside her ward, her eyes fixed firmly towards the window in the ward. Her mind was crammed with lots of thoughts which had been hovering within the domain of her mind. Abruptly, the lights inside the ward went off.

"Great!" Kenny muttered.
The blackout lasted for about three to five seconds before it finally came back on.

"What the---" Kenny je**ed up in a sudden, her entire body consumed in shock at the sight of the newcomer in the room.

"Surprised?" Kenny's ears received the words from HighLord, her mind knowing real fear.

"How, how---" Kenny stuttered.

"Well, let's just say I'm here to end that bond you have grown with Corrigan." HighLord took few steps towards Kenny's bed. "What is so special about him anyway? He's nothing but a ticking bomb waiting to explode."
Kenny said nothing in reply.

"I believe you and I have a funeral to plan." HighLord said, a smile playing on his lips.

"What, what have you done to Corrigan?" Kenny asked in a shaky voice.

"Well, I sent him to The House Of Woes to have a fun time with his own memories. Only this time, his memories will try and kill him." HighLord replied.
Kenny's eyes widened in shock. "You sent him to go die!"

"That's the point my dear Kenny, I want him to die." HighLord said, and then morphing his facial expression to become rigid, he continued. "Corrigan deserves more than death for every death he has caused."

"Corrigan is a changed person, he has been---"

"ENOUGH!" HighLord cut her short. "You believe a Hellhound can change? They are beings meant for destruction, chaos and death!"

"Corrigan does----"

"Corrigan is no hero, he never was." HighLord continued saying. "He's a delusional being that needs saving, and trust me when I say only death can save him."
Kenny became confused, her face showing signs of perplexity. "What do you mean?"

"Corrigan is wanted in hell." HighLord began to say. "Every demon and Hellhound in hell is after him, and the only way to stop that bounty is for Corrigan to die."

"But killing him now is same as waiting for his death to happen---"

"It seems your feeble mind cannot understand what I am saying." HighLord sighed and shook his head. "Dying in my hands is the most merciful death Corrigan can get. It seems you do not understand what he is up against." HighLord continued. "First, he shall be stabbed with an agona dagger, I believe you know what that means." Kenny gulped fearfully. Seeing this, HighLord smirked and then he continued talking. "Then, his entire body shall be put apart limb by limb, and then his inner organs shall be slowly burned with the fires from the very pit of hell, after that, his undying body shall be dumped into Tartarus where he shall suffer everlasting torment from the hands of the demons that patrol every streets of the realm."
Gulping, Kenny said. "But what....what has he done to deserve such gruesome torment?"

"You do not get the picture my dear Kenny." HighLord hummed. "Corrigan singlehandedly broke the long existing truce that bound Hell-hounds and Demons together. His actions has resulted in an unending war."

"But.....but you killed his father. Corrigan told me----"

"Enough!" HighLord boomed, his voice reverberating from across every corner of the room. "Lend me your hand and I'll take you for a ride. So you see for yourself."
Kenny hesitated for a bit, and then when HighLord stretched out his hand, Kenny took it. Smiling, HighLord stretched his other palm at the door of the ward. Reacting to his powers, a dark portal formed there.

"We are going for a bumpy ride." HighLord said. "And oops, every thing you shall see, Corrigan has already seen, but in a more excruciating way." HighLord led Kenny, and together, they headed into the portal. And once they went through, the portal disappeared in a flash, leaving no trace of its presence there.

{Location: Unknown}
{Time: Unknown}

Inside a room that looked like a Temple, a figure was homed. The room had an array of huge pillars that held it in place lining itself on both sides of the room down the hallway, and at the centre was Corrigan, naked. The spacious hall had nothing that could really tell what kind of room it was. All that could be seen were nothing but the pillars that ran down the hallways on both sides as far as the eyes could see, and the white painted ceiling.
Inside this room was were HighLord had sent Corrigan to. Screaming violently, Corrigan felt his entire body being slowly ripped apart and put back together simultaneously. The excruciating pains that journeyed rapidly all over his body was so great he let out loud screams of agony. The pains he felt at that instant was nothing like any he had ever felt before. His body was literally suspended in mid-air in a horizontal manner, nothing that could be called a weapon of torture was being used on him, yet Corrigan felt himself yelling and screaming in pains. His entire body was paralyzed, so he could not struggle in any form to relieve himself of the pain. All he could do was scream.
Even with his entire body flooded with pains, Corrigan knew the exact place he had been thrown into. It was a prison, a prison which was meant for people like him. A prison where in the past he had sent lots of erring beings to experience the exact thing he was feeling right now. To him, and to every other Hellhound, Demon or supernatural being out there, this place was not the best to be. It was called the House of Woes. A place where you relive your worst memories, but in the most excruciating manner ever.
While Corrigan continued his unending wails, a portal began to form few yards from where he was. The red portal beamed out a dark aura. After a few seconds of its appearance, HighLord and Kenny walked through the portal, and once they had completely walked through, the portal swallowed itself up and disappeared.

"Corrigan!" Kenny screamed on sighting him in pains. She bulleted herself forward and ran towards Corrigan. It took about thirty seconds for Kenny to realize that no matter how hard or fast she ran, she never was able to feel herself getting closer to where Corrigan was.

"You cannot get to him." HighLord said.

"But why?" Kenny asked, whimpering.

"This is the house of woes. No-one can gain access to the prisoner until he has served his time." HighLord answered.

"What exactly is happening to him?" Kenny asked again.

"He is reliving the pains he has wroth upon his kind."

"What pains?"

"It would be better to just show you." HighLord said, and then he walked up to Kenny. "Open up your mind and I'll show you everything. How and when Corrigan began his own journey of self destruction."
HighLord placed his palm on Kenny's forehead, and as he did, Kenny began to see. She began to see everything and only then did she understand. Floating deep inside Corrigan's subconsciousness, Kenny began to feel hate slowly building up within herself, hate for Corrigan. He was a murderer, a tormentor and a ravaging beast, just like his dead Father.
She saw how he tormented lost souls, how he killed innocents just for the fun of it, how he gruesomely murdered dozens of innocent beings, how he sparked an unending war between two supernatural races, how his actions led to uncountable deaths. All these Kenny not just saw, but felt. She felt the pain every victim that had fallen Corrigan's sword felt, she felt the hate and anger his own kind had for him, she felt the sadness and sorrow he had wrought upon scores of people. And then she felt no remorse, this she knew was coming from Corrigan. He felt no remorse for all of his actions, and he was willing to do more if the time comes. He had been buying his time, waiting for the perfect moment to strike out, to lay waste to not just Spark City but the rest of the world.
All of his devious plans became laid bare before Kenny's mind, and when she could no longer contain what she felt, she screamed. She screamed so loud the effects began to manifest itself.

That scream tore through the entire hallway, the visible soundwaves journeying and reverberating from every corner of the hallway. In reaction, the hall began to vibrate. The ground shook violently, and suddenly, the roof began to crumble down.

"Okay, what is happening?" Kenny asked in fright.

"You just broke through the barrier and guess what....." HighLord glared at Corrigan whose body was slowly descending to the floor of the hall. "You just set Corrigan free and I can only imagine the rampage he'll unleash now that his true nature has been revealed."

"Can we reverse it?" Kenny asked, sobbing.

"Nahh, not happening." HighLord replied. "This place was built by the darkest of magic. We can only get out and save ourselves."

"What about him?" Kenny pointed towards Corrigan.

Smirking, HighLord turned to look at Corrigan, and then he turned back at Kenny. "You should worry about yourself cos once we leave here, he's coming for us."
Sobbing further, Kenny dropped unto her knees. The vibrating building somewhat added tempo to her sobs. Somehow, she felt it was her fault this was happening. Corrigan was her friend and had been right from the moment she met him, and she wasn't going to leave him alone.

"I'm not leaving him here."

"You do know what you're saying right?" HighLord stared confusedly at Kenny. "He's gonna kill you if he regains consciousness."

"I don't care." Kenny replied firmly. "Corrigan is my friend and I'm not leaving him alone here." And then, she stood unto her feet and began walking towards where Corrigan was lying.

Sighing, HighLord activated his portal few metres from where he stood. "Last chance to come with me Kenny."
Kenny said nothing, neither did she stop her journey towards Corrigan. With a sigh, HighLord turned and walked into the portal, after which it disappeared in a flash of light.

"Cor....Corrigan you okay?" Kenny stuttered as she took slow measured steps towards Corrigan who was lying on the floor, his breath so loud and heavy. Gulping fearfully, Kenny made to tap Corrigan, but suddenly, Corrigan je**ed his head up and in a flash he grabbed Kenny's hand.

"You....." Corrigan's voice was so deep and monstrous. His face had morphed into its demonic look, dark veins appearing upon it. Growling monstrously, he stared deep into Kenny's eyes. "You have been a hindrance to me. No, no more."

Gulping fearfully, Kenny spoke up. "Corrigan, this isn't you. You need to snap out of this---"

"ENOUGH!" Corrigan growled ragingly as he erected fully on his feet, his hand still clutching unto Kenny's tightly. "You shall be eliminated." And then, Corrigan's body erupted out an outburst of fiery flames.

"No, no NO!" Kenny yelled as she she tried frantically to release herself from Corrigan's grip all to no avail. The intense flames burning all over Corrigan slowly began to swim unto Kenny's body. Screaming violently, Kenny flailed her free hand all over her body but it ended in futility. None could escape the very fires of Hell. The kind of fire that consumes even the soul. In the next few seconds, Kenny became nothing but mere ashes that drifted across the hallway.
But before her body became fully vanquished, she muttered. "Your Father deserved to die......"

This, he ignored, his entire appearance depicting raw evil. Corrigan took a step forward, and then in a distorted voice, he said. "NO MORE DECEPTION. NO MORE HIDING. THE WORLD SHALL FEEL MY WRATH. MY ANGER SHALL BE POURED UPON THE FILTHY HUMANS."
And so, Corrigan's true nature had been finally revealed. He was no hero as we all thought he would be. And so, with those words firmed in his mind, he sought to walk the Earth, to consume anything and everything that would come his way. And nothing could stop him. None could........
