“Director said, ‘Gift, you’re playing an Ashawo.’ 😳😂

My first reaction? “Me? Seriously?” It honestly went against my personal beliefs.

But then I reminded myself of something important: acting is about portraying a character, not becoming the character.

As actors, we don’t have to agree with every role we play. Our job is to bring stories and characters to life as convincingly as possible. Once the camera stops rolling, we go back to being ourselves.

Every role is an opportunity to grow, challenge yourself, and improve your craft.
