GREAT Fela ANIKULAPO Kuti, ABAMI EDA HIMSELF born on October 15, 1938, in Abeokuta, Nigeria 🇳🇬. Musician, activist, and pioneer of Afrobeat. Son of a feminist and a union leader, activism ran in his blood.

- *Music Career*: Formed Africa '70, fused jazz, funk, and traditional Nigerian sounds → created Afrobeat.
- *Activism*: Criticized govt corruption, military rule, colonialism. Songs like "Zombie" attacked oppressive regimes.
- *Battles*:
- 1974: Govt banned his music.
- 1977: 1000 soldiers raided his commune ("Kalakuta Republic"), killed his mum, destroyed studio.
- Arrested multiple times for "currency trafficking" etc.
- Died Aug 2, 1997.

Fought for justice, equality, and African pride. Legacy lives on! 🇳🇬
