Well, both have different functions and can serve different purpose. So it's not a bad idea to have both gadgets.

However if you're left with one option or can't afford both at a time then you have to buy based on what needs you want to be met.

In conclusion;

Get a Food Processor if you like to make rough, chopped meals, grate cheese, okra, slice veggies, make puree,frozen fruit icecream, breadcrumbs, mince meats, pounded yam (850watts &above), chips from plantain, potato etc.

Get a blender if you need to make smoothie, cocktail, sauces..it's typically for foods that will end up as liquid.

So now you have a choice.
