Step Into the Spotlight: Day I of the Visibility Challenge by Tayyibah Omotara
Hello everyone,
I want to take a moment to share my story with you. You may know me as a filmmaker, but what you might not know is the passion behind my snack business. I started making chinchin right from when I was a child , I remember I started during the Junior Waec break that year. My dad was my very first customer, he will buy and put in his pocket to munch on and also give any little child he sees around him. I stopped at some point , I would only make and give people during the festive period, how I love to share these things, I love feeding people and bringing joy to their taste buds. There's something so fulfilling about creating something with my own hands that puts smiles on people's faces.
I started again during the ease of lockdown, we started distributing to stores and also individual that would like to make some extra cash for themselves. Our wholesale deals are enticing. 💯😉💗
For me, it's not just about the food or money, it's about the connection and community that comes with sharing meals. I find joy in knowing that my snacks can bring people together and make their day a little brighter.
You might also know that I used to sell fabrics and gold, but I've decided to take a break from that for now. Honestly, it was getting tough to manage because many customers would buy on credit, and it was affecting my business. Plus, I've always had a passion for luxury men's fabrics, which are beautiful but very expensive. It requires a significant investment and catering to premium clients.
While I love the world of fashion, I've decided to focus on my snack business for now. It's a space where I can be creative, connect with people, and bring joy in a more straightforward way. I'm excited to see where this journey takes me and I'm grateful for your support along the way.🙏🙏💯💕
