*How to sell your Storage Agro products.*
I have been receiving many calls, and chats from those who happen to participate in grains storage. Some people called me that they have "so so" bags of beans, maize, soya beans etc that can I help them for the buyer in Kano State?
I have explained these many times how to sell your storage grains when it is the time to sell.
In every market in each state of this country, hardly you will ever see a Northern in the market that sells agro products.
Let me tell you one secret, most of the owners of those grains selling in the market by northern are/were not in the market. The grains are/were sent by the owner to the market, after they sold the grains by delali, they will return the money to the owner.
In every market, there are always "delali" called agents in the market, both southern and northern are delali in the market. At least 90% of northern delali in the market are trustworthy even in the northern market "delali" are there too.
Approach them "delali" and tell them your business plan but before that, try to make your findings about the types, quality, and price of the grains. Don't let them know that you are NEW in the business because they would want to cheat you if you eventually meet the bad one among the delali. After all, we have bad and good among them, but if you are fortunate and meet the good one you will enjoy the business.
One thing I like about the northern "delali" is that they can not cheat you if you eventually meet a good one among them;
I. Some will pay for the goods immediately for you;
ii. some will ask you to drop the goods and look for the buyer in the market to pay you;
iii. while some will collect the goods from you and pay you later after he sold the goods, 99% used to do this in the market.
iv. don't be afraid to drop your goods if they asked you for later payment, please try to know his shop.
v. if eventually, something bad happens, please report them to their Seriki or leader in the market, they will settle the matter for you.
vi. try to use a market that is close to your area in case they will ask you to drop the goods.
Please don't be greedy on the storage, small profit is okay than looking for a big profit, big profit can cause you to lose if you don't be careful.
Some people buy palm oil when it was 16k and the price has reached 22k now, you can sell it and use the money for another product. This is the storage time, you can store most of the product and make money out of it. don't wait till your product spent 7 months.
