Some days back, I posted this picture and ask you all what it is 😁. Today, I am here to tell you about it.

This plant is 🌸 The Flower of Maryam (Shajaratul Maryam) 🌸.

In Nigeria, we call it Ika Fatima, Hannun Fatima or Fatima's fingers 😁

This is a small desert plant especially common among expecting mothers in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia and Northern Nigeria.

What does it do?
🤰 It helps ease and encourage contractions
💧 Support a smoother, faster delivery
🌿 Offer comfort and a sense of spiritual reassurance during birth
🩸 Traditionally used to help with postpartum recovery and bleeding

To use it, steep it in water and give to women in the final weeks of pregnancy or during labor, believed to: It curls up tightly when dry and "blooms" open when placed in water, which is part of why it holds such symbolic meaning around birth and renewal.
