Another painful reminder of the insecurity we face as a nation—the recent kidnapping of a young man from Jos.

Our voices must be heard✊.

This is not just another news story. This is a human life. A fellow Nigerian whose only “mistake” was existing in a country where safety is no longer guaranteed. It is unacceptable that kidnapping has become so rampant that criminals operate freely—making calls, using the internet, and communicating without being traced.

To our security agencies and government officials: this is a call to action. There is a victim at hand right now, which you people at the top are aware of. His safety should be the priority. Every necessary resource must be deployed to ensure his safe return. The lives of citizens are your responsibility, and every moment matters.

We cannot normalize this. We cannot be silent.

Nigeria must be a place where people live without fear, not one where survival feels like luck.

Let’s speak with honesty, clarity, and a heart for peace🤍🕊️.

The message is being misunderstood, and it’s painful to watch.

This same man has gone across different parts of Northern Nigeria in communities dominated by Muslims and in those dominated by Christians and his message has remained consistent. He told people to defend themselves against attacks and threats. That is self-defense. That is not a call for religious violence. That is not a call for Christians to attack Muslims or Muslims to attack Christians.

So why are we twisting it😒?
Why are we picking one line out of context just to create confusion and chaos?
Sometimes it makes you wonder — is it that we don’t understand what was clearly said, or are we deliberately choosing to misinterpret it?

Because the truth is simple: he spoke about self-defense. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Turning that into a religious attack narrative is unfair, dangerous, and deeply divisive. This is how mistrust grows. This is how fear spreads. This is how unnecessary tension is created among people who have lived side by side for generations.
And sadly, this is exactly the kind of division some people benefit from.
We must not allow ourselves to be used.

This is someone who has contributed to Nigeria across both Christian and Muslim communities. So pushing false accusations against him is not just wrong — it is a deliberate attempt to break the unity we should be building.
Let’s be honest with ourselves: spreading half-truths and false narratives does nothing but bring chaos, misunderstanding, and even violence.

So why not choose something better?
Why not be among those who preach peace?

Why not focus on the bigger message — that we should protect lives, stand for one another, and refuse to let division define us?
Northern Nigeria can be greater than this. But it starts with our mindset.
The moment we stop amplifying negativity… The moment we stop spreading what we are not sure about… The moment we choose peace over provocation…

That is the moment real change begins.
Let’s not be the reason for chaos. Let’s be the reason for unity.

Peace must come first. Always 🕊️ &🤍.

When people stay silent, bad leaders grow stronger.
The suffering we see today is not accidental—it is the result of ignorance and failed leadership💔💔

There was a time💔💔…

When the old believed their votes would build a better future,
and the young believed they would inherit something worth fighting for.

Back then,
our parents stood in long queues with hope in their hearts,
telling us, “This country will be great for you.”
We believed them.
We grew up hearing stories of better days,
of when things worked,
of when tomorrow actually looked brighter than today.

But now…
The old are tired, yet still holding on to habits.
The young are angry, yet slowly losing hope.
And somehow, both still meet on Election Day…
under the same sun,
with the same struggles,
making the same choices.
Like we forgot the pain.

Like we accepted the cycle.
This isn’t just about one generation anymore.
It’s about all of us.
Because if the past couldn’t fix it,
and the present won’t change it…

Then what exactly are we handing over to the future?

Suffer no dey tire you😒😒
