Last week, something happened that completely changed my mindset.

I almost got a bulk Asoebi order.

When the inquiry came in, I was excited. We talked about colors, quantities, and the details. For a moment, I could already imagine how amazing it would feel to supply fabrics for such a beautiful celebration.

In the end, the order didn't happen.

A few months ago, I would have been crushed. I probably would have taken it as another sign that maybe this business wasn't meant for me.

But this time, I saw it differently.

That inquiry reminded me of something important:

People are watching.

People are finding Taktai Fabrics.

People are beginning to trust my brand enough to consider me for big opportunities.

The order may not have gone through, but the opportunity itself was proof that showing up consistently is starting to open doors.

It reminded me that if I had stayed silent...
If I had stopped posting...
If I had given up on rebuilding this business...

That inquiry would never have found me.

Sometimes we think success is only measured by the sales we close.

But sometimes success is also the confidence that you're finally being seen.

That experience gave me the push I needed.

It reminded me why I decided to come back.

Why I chose to rebuild instead of quit.

So this is me making another promise to myself:

I will keep showing up.

I will keep posting.

I will keep improving.

Because the next inquiry might become the next testimony.

And even if the journey feels slow, I know I'm moving in the right direction.

Here's to bigger opportunities, bigger orders, and a business that grows because I refused to give up.

Thank you to everyone following, engaging, sharing, and supporting Taktai Fabrics. This is just the beginning. ❤️✨

Ankara isn't just fabric, it's a story woven in color. It speaks of heritage, confidence, celebration, and the beauty of being proudly African. Every print carries a touch of culture and every style tells a unique story. 💛🌍✨ "

Tuesday Fabric Talk 💬
Can we settle this once and for all?
When you have an important event coming up, what matters most to you when choosing a fabric?
A️⃣ Quality and durability
B️⃣ Unique design/pattern
C️⃣ Comfort and feel
D️⃣ Affordable price
For me, a beautiful fabric can catch my eye, but quality is what keeps me coming back. There's nothing worse than falling in love with a fabric and being disappointed after wearing it once.

Let's see which one wins today. 😄

The Journey of Rebuilding Taktai Fabrics

A few weeks ago, I made a decision.

After months of inconsistency, self-doubt, and wondering whether it was even worth continuing, I decided to rebuild Taktai Fabrics.

Not restart.

Rebuild.

Because the dream never died.
I was just tired.

Balancing a full-time job and trying to grow a business wasn't easy. There were days I had the energy for neither. The business slowly took a back seat, and before I knew it, I had become disconnected from something I once loved so much.

The past week has been a reminder that rebuilding is not easy.

Showing up consistently after being away.
Creating content even when inspiration is low.
Trying to get people to notice your brand again.
Managing work responsibilities while making time for the business.

It's been challenging.

There were moments when I wondered if my efforts were enough.
Moments when I wished growth would happen faster.
Moments when I felt discouraged.

But despite all of that, we keep growing.

Maybe not as quickly as I imagined.
Maybe not in the way I expected.

But we're growing.

Every post shared.
Every inquiry received.
Every new follower.
Every lesson learned.

Those are signs of progress.

This journey is teaching me that growth isn't always loud. Sometimes it's found in simply refusing to quit.

So this Monday, I'm choosing gratitude.

Gratitude for the opportunity to start again.
Gratitude for everyone following this journey.
Gratitude for every small win that reminds me I'm moving forward.

Taktai Fabrics is still rebuilding.
Still learning.
Still growing.

And this time, I'm committed to the process.

No matter how slow it feels.
No matter how challenging it gets.

We're showing up.
We're growing.
And we're not quitting. ❤️✨

There was a time I almost stopped this business completely.

Balancing work, responsibilities, and trying to grow a fabric business felt exhausting.
I kept asking myself: "Is all this effort even worth it?"
But every time I thought about quitting, I remembered why I started.
My love for beautiful fabrics. My dream of building something of my own. And the people who genuinely support this journey.
So here I am again. Showing up. Learning. Growing.
Thank you to everyone still here. ❤️

Good morning! ☀️
As I was getting ready for work this morning, I started thinking about something...
Have you ever bought a fabric you absolutely loved, only to get home and wonder, "What style am I even going to sew with this?" 😅
Please tell me I'm not the only one!

I almost gave up on this fabric business last year.

There were days I would post beautiful fabrics with so much excitement… and get almost no response.
No orders.
No serious inquiries.
Just views.

Meanwhile, people assumed business was moving fine because I kept showing up online.

What they didn’t see were the moments behind the scenes.

The days I used my last money for data just to post fabrics.
The nights I stayed awake replying customers who never came back.
The disappointment of buying fabrics I believed people would love… only for them to sit unsold for months.

At some point, I even stopped posting consistently because I was emotionally exhausted.

I started questioning myself:
“Maybe I’m not good enough for this.”
“Maybe this business isn’t for me.”
“Maybe people don’t even notice the effort.”

And honestly, watching other vendors sell out while I struggled quietly made it worse.

But deep down, I knew quitting would hurt me more than trying again.

So I made a decision:
I will show up again.
I will market my business again.
I will believe in what I’m building again.

This time, I am not quitting.

Not because everything is suddenly perfect…
But because I now understand that every business has slow seasons, silent battles, and moments of doubt.

And if I can survive the season that almost made me give up, then I can survive the process of growing too.

To everyone supporting my business — thank you.
Every repost, inquiry, purchase, recommendation, and kind word means more than you know ❤️

We’re starting again.
And this time, we’re staying consistent ✨💪🦾
