You crouch by the kids’ pile. Most books look tired.
Then you see it. No cover. Pages yellow. ₦400.

A beautiful morning to you, dear Books & Puzzles family. ☀️

I thought I should share a little story with you today.

Before we started selling books in 2022, I discovered something powerful, the impact of giving children books at an early age.

Once I understood this, I became very intentional. I started buying books gradually, sometimes using almost all the savings we had. My children had to have books, puzzles, and learning resources, no matter what. It wasn’t easy, but we kept going.

At that time, our children were 3 and 6 years old, and honestly… they didn’t embrace the idea immediately. 😅

So we tried something simple.

We placed books everywhere, in the car, in their bedroom, in the sitting room, even at grandma’s house. Books became a normal part of their environment.

Why? Because I had learned about deliberate exposure and early learning, and I wanted to see the results.

Fast forward four years later…

Now we sometimes have to pack the books away just to slow them down from reading at the wrong time. Sometimes we even jokingly tell them they must “pay a fine” for reading when they should be doing something else. 😄

The truth is this:

We started this book business because we wanted our children to have limitless access to books.

And today, watching our 4-year-old read confidently is one of the most beautiful rewards of this journey.
