It reminds me of a particular day of evangelism in my school fellowship; I had made the rare decision to attend church service after spending many weeks in my room, and I was always inside my hall of residence. Unfortunately for me, that Sunday happened to be the day of evangelism. Some of the shots seemed to be directed specifically at me as I escaped from militants dressed in their local garb who were firing at random into every house. I sped till I arrived at a house where a woman and her daughter lived. On his way to clinching a business deal with some poultry farmers, her husband had been killed in the west — particularly, in the southwest. A memoir should have some uplifting quality, inspiring and illuminating, and that's what separates a life story that can influence other people.

Submit either poems, prose or short story narrating any experience you (are having) had during NYSC.

Poems should be 25 lines. Short stories and prose should be 500 words.

Every story should be submitted in Msword to [email protected]

The submission does not exclude interested Ex-Corpers, PCMs on Camp ground and Extant Corps members.

Short stories that are more than 500 words will not be rejected.

Adejumo Kabir & Alfred Olufemi decided to put the heads of experienced Campus Journalist in a book and they titled it "The Pain, Push & Pleasure". This was conceived in 2019 and I also contributed my part.

The book captures how to do Journalism on campus and how not to mix it up definitively. After laying hands on it, the book is expected to answer many questions to budding campus journalists, rookies and veterans.
