But I’ve come to believe that’s only part of the story.

To me, something feels premium because of the thought behind it.

The fabric chosen with care.

The fit that makes you stand a little taller.

The finishing touches you notice every time you wear it.

The feeling that this piece will still have a place in your wardrobe years from now.

That’s the standard we’ve held ourselves to while creating ÌPÌLẸ̀.

Not because we’re trying to create more clothes.

Because we’re trying to create better ones.

For a long time, I thought confidence would come when I reached a certain weight, wore a certain size, or found the perfect outfit.

But this season has taught me something different.

Confidence isn’t something you put on.

It’s something you build.

For me, it’s been built in the quiet moments no one applauds, showing up to the gym when I didn’t feel like it, choosing consistency over excuses, and keeping promises I’d made to myself.

Every one of those choices changed the way I carry myself.

That’s why I believe clothes don’t create confidence.

They reflect it.

As we’ve been building ÌPÌLẸ̀, I’ve wanted every piece to support the woman who’s already doing the inner work, the woman who’s becoming stronger, more intentional, and more certain of who she is.

When we started dreaming about this collection, we knew the name had to carry more than beauty, it had to carry meaning.

We chose ÌPÌLẸ̀, a Yoruba word that means foundation.

Not simply because it’s a beautiful translation, but because it reflects everything we believe.

A wardrobe is more than clothes hanging on a rail. It’s one of the first ways you prepare yourself to meet the world each day.

When your wardrobe is built with intention, getting dressed becomes easier. You feel more confident. You move with more certainty. You spend less time wondering what to wear and more time focusing on what truly matters.

That’s the kind of foundation we wanted this collection to represent.
