Today we came together to celebrate a woman of substance, a woman of great impact.
Apart from being someone that everybody loves, she is a genuine lover. And when she loves you, she loves with all of her heart.
For the past 3 days of this birthday celebration, I’ve heard almost everyone say one thing in common: _“She loves loudly.”_
When she’s in your corner, she makes it very obvious.
But this particular award is not just because we love her.
This award is for all the times she has encouraged women through her platform.
For all the times she made people like us — those of us who came from the trenches — start seeing life in a different way.
This award is for every single woman she has impacted with her knowledge, her personality, and her intentionality.
For the way she takes care of her family.
For the way she puts herself out there as an example, even through the backlash, the social media cranks, the talks, and the insults.
She has touched more than a thousand women in this hall today.
And today, we are all celebrating one woman.
She deserves this award.
This is coming from every woman she has supported in one way or the other.
From every woman she has influenced and impacted in their life.
We love her.
We celebrate her.
And we couldn’t think of anything better than an award that will remind her of the amazing personality that she is.
