African wake up i love my culture is not evil. else will I say it to make you understand that Ogun, Sango, Èsu, Obatala, Orunmila etc were human beings born of a man and woman like me and you, like Apostle Paul, like King David, like King Solomon, like Moses, like John the Baptist.
They grew up and lived like every human being either in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, England, Israel or Egypt. They did not have horn on their heads nor tail in their buttocks like the imperialists have configured your mind to think.
Every race has people who are several generations earlier in their line of descent, and who are called ancestors. Arabians have theirs, the Israelites have theirs, Britons have theirs, German have theirs, Yoruba have ours. And these are ours.
For clarity; Sango, Ogun, Orunmila, Oya, Obatala etc are progenitors in the Yoruba race and some people choose to be their protégé, these proteges are not mistaking any of the progenitors to be the supreme God.

No!!
These proteges of Sango, Ogun, Obatala, Sango or Orunmila have never come out to say their progenitor is the creator of heaven and earth.

No!!
They know God and they acknowledge God, He is the one called Eledumare. They revere Him as Akoda aye, Aseda Orun (Creator of Heaven and earth).
Again, for clarity, they do not mix their ancestors with Eledumare.

They just chose not to be brainwashed to believe the lies that our ancestors like Ogun, Sango, Orunmila, Obatala, Oya etc are evil while the ancestors of the Oyinbos like Moses, Apostle Paul, Mohammed, John the Baptist, Abraham, Ibrahim etc are holy.
That is where you and them differ.

Orunmila is not just a deity - He is the Orisa of Wisdom, Knowledge, and Ifa divination itself.
If you understand Ifa, you understand Orunmila. If you understand Orunmila, you understand destiny.
Who He Is
1. Eleri Ipin - The Witness of Destiny
Before you came from heaven to earth, you knelt before Olodumare and chose your destiny (Ori). Orunmila was there. He witnessed what you chose. That's why when you are confused about your path, you go to Him to remember what you promised.
That is why He is called Elerin Ipin Ibikeji Olodumare - The second to Olodumare who knows everything.
2. The Orisa who conquered Death with wisdom
Unlike other Orisa who use power, sword, or force, Orunmila uses Ogbon ati Imo - wisdom and knowledge. In many Ese Ifa, Death, Sickness, Loss tried to take him, but he always defeated them with Ebo and knowledge.
3. Husband of the other Orisa
In Itan, he is respected as extremely calm, patient, and strategic. He is married to many female Orisa including Osun, Yemoo, and Apetebi is his official wife who helps him with Ifa work.
Orunmila vs Ifa - Are they the same?
This confuses many people:
• Orunmila is the person - the Orisa, the prophet who lived as a man in Ile-Ife and became Orisa.
• Ifa is the message, the wisdom, the system - the 256 Odu, the word of Olodumare that Orunmila carries.
So we say: Orunmila ni baba Ifa, Ifa ni ọrọ Orunmila. Orunmila is the father of Ifa, Ifa is the word of Orunmila.
You cannot separate them. When Babalawo casts Ifa, it is Orunmila speaking.
His Symbols
• Opon Ifa: His divination tray - represents the world
• Opele: His divination chain
• Ikin Ifa: The sacred palm nuts - 16+ eyes that see all
• Ide Ifa: The beaded bracelet that protects his children from premature death
Anyone who has received Ide and has been initiated to Ifa is called Omo Ifa or Omo Orunmila - child of Orunmila.
Why people run to Orunmila
People don't go to Orunmila to get rich quick. They go to him for:
Imo - to know: What is happening to me spiritually?
Oye - to understand: Why is it happening?
Ona - to get a path: What should I do to fix it?
That's why his praise name is:
Orunmila, Ifa Olokun asoro dayo
Amoimotan aiku
Oba a kii pa l'ehin ti o ba ti fi Ifa sile
Meaning: Orunmila, Ifa the owner of the ocean of wisdom that makes sorrow become joy. The one who knows you without being told you will not die young. The king we can never kill once he has left Ifa behind.
You carry the name Awo, so you already know - Orunmila does not fight for his children, He teaches his children how not to need to fight.
Do you want me to tell you the Itan of how Orunmila came to earth, or how he got the 16 Odu?

WHO IS ÒGÚN ⛓️🏹

In Yoruba religion, Ogun is a primordial orisha in Yoruba Land. In some traditions, he is said to have cleared a path for the other orisha to enter Earth, using a metal sword and with the assistance of a dog. To commemorate this, one of his praise names, or oriki, is Osin Imole or the “first of the primordial Orisha to come to Earth”. He is the god of war and metals.

In his earthly life Ogun is said to be the first king of Ife. When some of his subjects failed to show respect, Ogun killed them and ultimately himself with his own sword. He disappeared into the earth at a place called Ire-Ekiti, with the promise to help those who call on his name. His followers believe him to have wo ile sun, to have disappeared into the earth’s surface instead of dying. Throughout his earthly life, he is thought to have fought for the people of Ire, thus is known also as Onire.

He is now celebrated in, Ogun, Ekiti, Oyo, Osun and Ondo States.

Meats are sacrifices for Ogun. Dogs are the traditional companions of hunters, but Ogun’s personality is also seen as “doglike”: aggressive, able to face danger, and straightforward. Other sacrificial animals associated with Ogun are the spitting cobra (blacksnake); its behavior is aggressive and fearless. Hunters and blacksmiths avoid eating or witnessing the mating of blacksnakes. Other important sacrificial offerings to Ogun are the Clarias submarginatus (a species of catfish), alligator pepper, kola nuts, palm wine and red palm oil, small rats, roosters, salt, snails, tortoise, water, and yams. Many of these sacrificial offerings were carried into New World traditions.

May ògún protect us, save us and bring goodness for all

Òsá movimenta as coisas.

Ifa is your guide: obey his word.

Ifa does not speak to frighten, it speaks to correct, protect and lead the human being to its true destiny. Every advice, every warning and every recommended sacrifice has a purpose: to avoid unnecessary suffering and open paths to stability, health, peace and blessings.
Many times people want the blessings of Ifa, but forget that the blessings come through obedience, patience and good character. Ifá teaches that whoever listens and puts its teachings into practice, finds clarity in the midst of confusion and strength in the midst of difficulties.
Orúnmìlà knows the path of destiny and therefore advises before problems come. When we obey the word of Ifa and perform the ebo, we are aligning with our destiny and removing visible and invisible obstacles.

Trust ifa, respect his teachings
